Inventory carry limits kill all my willingness to play this game. This is such a garbage mechanic. You are not Resident Evil. You do not have a good reason to implement inventory slot limits. You may think you do, but you DON'T. YOU ARE NOT RESIDENT EVIL.
You don't even pick ♥♥♥♥ up in this game, you simply step near stuff and it flies into your inventory. Oops, now your inventory is full again and you get nagged by a voice telling you so. Seriously, I can maybe get why you'd want to limit how much stuff can fit in one slot, but the extremely small inventory limit for a game that has like all ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ elements in the periodic table and then molecules made up of them or whatever, you don't really want to be hauling ♥♥♥♥ from here to there just to play Tetris with your backpack and cargo bay, when ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ TRAVELING COSTS YOU RESOURCES THAT YOU MAY NOT HAVE.

Playing this game is so bureaucratic it feels like doing your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ taxes. It would be cool if it were a game about space exploration, but it's just Tetris with extra steps. Inventory management completely overwhelms everything else and it's the complete opposite of fun.

Why I'm recommending it? Because I felt bad about this being a negative review. The game is still good and still deserves your time. These developers have kept working on the game and improving it from launch for almost 10 years now, on top of the original development time.

Devil May Cry with guns

Instead of the hack'n'slash genre, it's the rip'n'tear genre.

This is a good game, but Ubisoft Connect is a CANCER. I just had my couch play experience ruined by having to go and input again a password I HAD ALREADY ENTERED BEFORE. I used the Steam keyboard think with PS button + square, but then it asked me to access my email to get a 2FA code. Why the ♥♥♥♥ is Ubisoft actively ruining the experience of games on PC? This really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aggravates me because I had only so many minutes to play before going out somewhere, and I have to deal with this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. ♥♥♥♥ Ubisoft, I hope they finally go bankrupt this year after finally canceling AC Samurai or whatever the hell they're calling that stupid game.

I think it undermines Valve's own credibility as a company to let other companies release games in their storefront that require third-party accounts in order for the games to be accessible.

Valve should completely and permanently ban games that require third-party accounts and any kind of launchers that block access to games you bought on their storefront. If I bought a game from Valve, it's between me and Valve. Games that do require some kind of account should use my Steam account through Steam's APIs, and nothing else. Anything even slightly deviating from this is unacceptable and a cancer to consumers that will eventually kill the video games industry.

Does not work correctly with DualSense on Linux. Apparently the game tries to grab inputs from the controller and maps them wrong, even if you have Steam Input turned on. There is issue #8217 on the steam-for-linux GitHub regarding this bug dating back to 2021, and STILL the developers haven't fixed it.

I'm afraid it's been... nine years.

MGSV is not quite representative of the rest of the series, but it's arguably THE best stealth game of all time.

I have 82 hours here on Steam at the time of this review, but I've 500 hours more on PS3 alone. This game is just so satisfying to play.

Had wanted to play this remake of the only good Mafia since when it was announced, but it's unplayable on PC with absolutely terrible controller support. I had to switch the layout on Steam input to get the game to respond to my PS5 controller, but even then the button prompts showed some square icons instead of even Xbox icons, resulting in a moment where I died because I didn't know the button to press to escape some NPCs chasing me. Unfortunately the game is at an unacceptable state and I'm not about to waste precious time troubleshooting what should've been working out of the box.

>cold, rainy, cozy Saturday night
>wow, tonight has such a cool Need For Speed (2015) vibe
>install game
>game takes long to attempt to start because of EA Origin launcher thing also starting up
>EA Origin launcher thing asks for login which it never did before, as it had my login saved

Pirate players have more convenience, unironically.

External launchers and external accounts are a cancer which Valve should ban from Steam, and punish harshly any company that so much as talks publicly about implementing it.

All human history led to this point. It all culminates here. Elden Ring is the crowning achievement of humanity as a whole.

(Though not the culmination of software development, with all the frame pacing issues and whatnot)

The expansion is truly beautiful, but it has worse performance than the base game, and has made the entire game's load times AWFULLY long. Game developers really should optimize for convenience aspects of games such as load times and install sizes. While FromSoftware really aces the latter, significantly increasing load times is unacceptable. The worst thing is once your save has been "contaminated" with the DLC you can't go back and uninstall it.

Also, it still doesn't have the option to use PlayStation button icons in the year 2024 of our lord Jesus Christ, and if you mod them into the game you might get banned from online services.
