"Wow... he is literally me!"

An unforgettable experience that got snubbed at The Game Awards HARD.
Has a very unique battle system, charming characters, and an amazing story on top of that!
It's also best going in knowing as little as possible. That's how I played it anyway. So if you're at all interested, just ♥♥♥♥♥♥' dive straight in. You won't regret it!

A great, fun JRPG with a very entertaining story that still holds up for me after playing it a second time and after the QoL stuff in P5/P5R. Once you get past the lengthy intro and get through the first dungeon, it's very easy for the story to suck you in and the gameplay to get you addicted. The mods are really cool too.

Devil May Cry 5 is a really fantastic character action game, and it's very hard for me to choose between this and DMC3, one of my favorite games. In terms of story (w/o spoilers) it's probably a fan's wet dream, it was definitely mine. Which is why, if you haven't, I highly recommend playing the previous games or at least being familiar with them. The big moments of the game won't have nearly as much impact if you're not familiar with these characters.

Dante and Nero control great in this game, and I was very happy to see how much more they put into their movesets from DMC4. For V (the new character of the series), you're either gonna love how he plays or really waiting for his missions to be over. I really enjoyed how he played, because he's a summoner character. Which is much different from any previous playable character in DMC. But I found him really fun and interesting to play as and get a handle of. I know I'm not that good with him, because eventually I'll just end up frantically mashing inputs and buttons with V because sometimes it just works for him.

Some people may say a downside is how the level design is pretty linear (with some exceptions), when you compare it to, like DMC1 or 3. Which I can agree with. You can get a ton of replay value out of this if you care about getting the best rank in a level, practicing combos, replaying the game on harder difficulties, or the "Bloody Palace" mode which is a gauntlet of enemies to fight. This game is still great, but I feel bad for if you don't care about the stuff I listed, because this game will be over pretty quickly in that case.

However, I still enjoyed it and it's probably my favorite game of 2019, and between PC and PS4 I've put over 200 hours into this so far because I love going back and replaying it (the mods for this are really good too), and I'll most likely put in a lot more.

One of my favorite kart racers, it even rivals the best Mario Kart titles. It even handles the underwater and flying sections way better. The races also feel less chaotic and more skill based, well when comparing the items/weapons available. The vehicles control very smoothly and drifting on the fantastic tracks available is incredibly satisfying . I don't know how lively the online community is, but there is still a ton of fun single player content to jump into. So yea buy it if you want.

One of the greatest, most stylish games of the character action genre. It builds on and improves the combat system of DMC3 that was already great to begin with. However the story mode is not as interesting or as fun as DMC3. It may be a chore to go through at first since you're locked off from a number of moves and abilities at first, and once you reach the halfway point of the game, you go through the whole game again but backwards! (but more stylish!)

But once you get through it and expand your move set with the five playable characters, is where the real fun begins! I've spent hours and hours on this game practicing combos and techniques as the different characters, and I've yet to grow tired of it! I've even gone through the campaign again to try and S rank chapters, and beat them on the hardest difficulties. While I still have issues with the campaign and its levels, the combat system alone makes up for it.

I do reccomend playing the other Devil May Cry games before this (except for 2), as it'll be easier to hop in to, especially once you get to playing as Dante. And I just love the series overall, 3 still being one of my favorite games of all time. But DMC4SE is still a fantastic game that's worth your time. It offers a great challenge, five characters that each play very differently, several different modes to play the game and a great reward system for how creative you are in combat to keep you motivated! So yeah go buy it, or don't, whatever.

The final BIT.TRIP game (in the timeline atleast) returns to BEAT's style of gameplay playing like Pong, except reversed horizontally and more obstacles and patterns to keep you on the edge of your seat. Although, it never gets as difficult as BIT.TRIP BEAT's final level, which still haunts me to this day, since if you miss enough beats or run into enough circles you will be sent back to a checkpoint and not have to restart the entire level again.

The soundtrack (which I still go back to listen to every now and then, Catharsis being my favorite BIT.TRIP track and level) combined with the visuals in the levels are beautiful, and while there are only three levels they are all incredibly fun and a blast to play through. This is definitely my favorite BIT.TRIP game and one of my favorite games period, (I include it with BIT.TRIP COMPLETE when talking about my favorite games) and I reccommend playing through all the other games in order before this one to get the full BIT.TRIP experience!

Now regarding the problems with this port, while I haven't had problems that were with this port recently, I think I did have them when I first played the PC port, but recently and getting a new laptop I haven't encountered much problems, except for this one part where a timing of a power-up causes me to never fully complete one of the challenges.
Although there is one glaring problem that you might encounter, where the first boss is literally impossible to beat. I've played the Wii and 3DS versions many times before the PC port and never had a problem with that boss. As far as I know the bug is still in the game by the time of this review, so you might have to go find a save file that lets you past this boss. Or you could get the BIT.TRIP compliations, BIT.TRIP COMPLETE for the Wii, and BIT.TRIP SAGA for the 3DS, COMPLETE being my favorite since it has tons of bonus content including 20 challenge missions in each BIT.TRIP game and a soundtrack CD. Though get the 3DS one if you're like me and are terrible with the motion controls in the Wii versions of BEAT and FLUX.

So in my opnion, FLUX is one of my favorite games that I'd highly recommend if you are fan of rhythm/music games or are a BIT.TRIP fan and you haven't bought this one for some reason. However it is still plagued by the issues stated, and is now harder to get on my preferred way to play, the 3DS. But I'd still recommend giving this and other BIT.TRIP titles a shot.

If you like any of the 2D Sonic games, this is for you. But, it is harder than the Genesis games. It has great music, with 2 different soundtracks, (US and Japan) and cool extras. Not to mention, it's 5 bucks.
