Will be mentioning spoilers in this review so you have been warned.

Let me start by saying that yes even on the PC version, this game there are still bugs and glitches from time to time. Even with the current 1.06 version you’ll see some funny stuff and will have like “wtf?” moments. Are they game breaking? From my experience. No. I can’t speak for everyone since it turns out most of these bugs and glitches are random sometime but from the looks of it and from what I heard I must be one of the few unfortunate lucky ones to be able to play the game at it’s best without having to deal with too many problems to the point that I couldn't continue with the missions or have my save file corrupted past 8 MB and I can’t play my save anymore. I had none of those problems. At first I did have my doubts though, when first playing at launch the game did crash about 3 times and at that time saw most of the bugs. Bugs like you’ll see like black tropical trees in the distance which you know shouldn't be there, the same trees just sludging down and flying back up when you drive or walk past, or when you drive V stands on top of the bike in a T pose and his pants and shoes are gone.

After my first 12 hours of playing I realized that I didn’t even (well didn’t really knew at that time) had the latest update which came out that day for my NVIDIA graphics card downloaded so the game wasn’t really optimized but after doing just that and turning off raytracing to which I think it's what making my game crash when driving or in combat. The game is now much better to play now. Much much much better. Everything on graphics is set all ultra high, 60FPS, it’s a less buggy and a very gorgeous looking game. Is that all that’s what's wrong with this game? Well… Let me just say that the lack of arcades, mini games, or anything to do on the side is disappointing. For a city that's just splattered with ads for sex how come there like only 4 hookers to go to? I know this isn’t a Rockstar game and I’m not looking for this to become like a Cyberpunk GTA but the lack activities does just make the game feel empty after completing the main storyline, side missions, all the gigs, and all the NCPD Scanners Hustles Missions pretty much all of it’s Assaults, Organized, and Reported Crimes.

Took me 130 Hours to complete all of that on my first playthrough as a Streetkid. The main story took me about 20-25 Hours to complete. Another thing I do feel disappointed about this game is the length. I was hoping that the game would have about 200+ hours of content if I could find it but I was fully aware of them cutting it shorter due to people complaining that The Witcher 3 was too long (♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥). I already begun to start replaying the game again as Corpo cause I will be real with you I felt pretty damn empty after beating everything but I do know that there are probably some things I missed like getting all the guns to display in V’s apartment and maybe some other easter egg that I didn’t know about. With that being said that just proves that I absolutely love and endure this game. I may not have had godlike expectations from it but I am happy to have spent the last three weeks of 2020 playing it. The world is big and immersive, the main and side stories are incredible, the lore behind the Cyberpunk has gripped my attention that I can’t wait to dive more deeper into it in other materials.

I’ve never felt this invested and emotionally connected to the characters of a video game. Helping them with their problems throughout Night City like helping Judy trying to find and save Evelyn, Rivers finding and saving his nephew, getting on a more equal and friendly terms with Johnny and know his backstory as the story progresses, meeting his bandmates like Kerry, learn more about his his relationships with Alt and Rouge, Helping Panam out in the Badlands and reform her relationship with Saul and the Aldecaldos, the fact that you could have been able saved Takemura from the burning building got me really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up, you're telling me I could have saved my boy but it wasn’t even considered to be an “optional objective”? Like what in the ♥♥♥♥ CDPR? Losing Jackie is one thing but easily throwing Takemura out is just cruel man. I really enjoyed his character and his background story. Okay but I did love the development between V and Johnny. One of the endings is when after you play Johnny in getting to Mikoshi under Arasaka Tower you have a choice to either take over V’s body or let him keep it. As you try to cross the bridge in cyberspace to let V live he’ll try to stop you from going with Alt like three times. It goes to show how it started with Johnny wanting to kill and take over V’s body from Johnny sacrificing himself and letting his friend live whatever life he has left. I even felt an empty hole knowing that after the first 7 hours when you do the intro that you won’t be seeing Jackie anymore. Now how in the hell can you live without your main choomba?

In my opinion we truly have a great game, maybe even a masterpiece of our time but I’m not gonna fanboy over the fact that CDPR really did ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up with this game’s launch. By that I mean the management and the investors of the company (not the developers) for pushing a unfinished product to get those pre-holiday eddies and of course not only making a ♥♥♥♥ load of false promises but taking out a lot of things that were part of the game. As a PC gamer, I truly feel sorry for all the console players in what they are experiencing right now because what CDPR pulled is absolutely inexcusable. However, if CDPR are going to be the CDPR I know and love. They’ll take full responsibility for what they did, let their developers take their holiday breaks to relax and refresh and get back to finishing the game that we’ve been waiting for for 8 years. I know it can’t be perfect but I know it can be much more than what we have and what we have so far has been an breathtaking experience that I’m just itching for the DLC’s and what the possible multiplayer will look like.

As someone who is a big nerd of the Cyberpunk genre I loved all the references and easter eggs that were made to classic films like Blade Runner, Akira, Ghost In The Shell, The Fifth Element, The Matrix, Demolition Man, Pulp Fiction, Terminator, video games like Portal, Half Life, Overwatch, ande don’t get me started with other cameo appearances most notably Hideo Kojima, the streamer CohhCarnage as Gary The Prophet, and YouTuber Jesse Cox as the Flaming Crotch Guy. Gonna give CDPR props for adding Keanu’s infamous “You’re Breathtaking” stance on the self camera view and Joker’s Staircase stance. It’s little moments like these that make me love the game so much. I hope CDPR fixes this game cause hell I do have faith in them and I’m not going to immediately throw them under the bus like what I did with Ubisoft, Activision, Blizzard, and also coming from this year Naughty Dog. You can make the argument that this game was also not safe from the curse that is 2020.

Now with that being said I do want to thank the developers over at CDPR for what they gave us and what they also have in store for us in the near future. I wish the company the best of luck in getting back up on its feet and pulling through the backlash of what they put themselves into from the last three weeks and I just can't wait to see what else will be waiting for us in the dark futuristic dystopian streets of Night City. Can’t wait for the DLC’s, Can’t wait for the Multiplayer experience, can’t wait for the anime series coming out in 2022, but most importantly can’t wait for this game to be fixed and earn its title as Game of the Year for 2021...
