It has the calculus of cookie clicker / clicker hero, with a fun little town pixel aesthetic. This sounds weird, but it is surprisingly well coded. From the physics of flying particles to tooltips to the animations, it is a beautiful game. Probably 3-5 thousand moving objects per second at the endgame, and you can still tell whats going on. That must have been hard for an indie dev to pull off

It has the set bonuses and playstyle changing effects of legendary items like in Diablo3, but it's not Diablo 3, which we have all grown tired of. It actually has the skill synergies of Diablo 2, for the older players who remember. It is also way less complex than POE, but still has the fast paced action of POE. Plus it's offline, so never lag or servers down when in singleplayer.

However, the best reason to buy this game is because it is cheap and it was made by a dedicated indie developer and its actually fun. You can respec your class easily and try out a completely different build.

This game really is a hidden gem, and the graphics are very fluid and advanced for pixel graphics, like Terraria.

It's like civ5 and xcom. The latest update(Feb 18,2020) proves to me the devs still care about the game without paid DLC. It's in a good spot right now. Enjoy it

The look, feel, and music of the game compliment each other very well. Some of the unlockable factions work wildly different than the starting faction. It could use more content but I would still recommend it.

This game HAS improved a ton since beta a few years ago. The base game is now able to be built upon, and if future content patches happen, much like Terraria's developement plan, this game will be a good game and worth full price.

Early and midgame is well fleshed out. Endgame needs more content, just like Terraria years ago. Keep tabs on this game.

It's great that Paradox made their unique "grand strategy" games more accessable. This game has a ton of potential with user mods, and also plenty of potential with DLC. Which is inevitable with Paradox.
