If you're new then this is worth getting. If you're not, know it's basically just an improved (and very pretty) Sigma.

Few things to note for those that just want to know the main changes: statue fights are gone, gore is back, weapon upgrades can be done at any shop and as much as you want so long as you have the essence for it

It's got less costumes than even Sigma. Input lag is a pain. Some encounters have changed but they decided to keep all the ghost fish and the mandatory women missions for some reason. Master ninja in this game sucks. The encounters just spawn new guys off screen instantly to kill you with one combo. I can deal with the spongey enemies in mentor but this is inexcusable.

It's still one of the best action games I've ever played. Most of the faults come from the perspective of having played a game that never needed to be changed in the first place. This is good. It's better than Sigma. It's worth having. It's just not the "definitive" version.
