Early Access Review
SR2 was originally planned as a DLC for sr1, and based on what we did find in the back end did set a few things as effectively copy and pasted from sr1. SR2 was created after some issues with how SR1's foundation didn't allow reasonable scaling beyond where it was and into the new goals they had.

Now that the background is out of the way - lets look at what we got as a result of that:
- we started with 1 additional biome and a few extra slimes over where sr1's early access started. With similar development time before the launch of early access. We got to keep slime science and we were loaded with more slimes immediately which is something.
- after about 11ish month now of development, we are at a point where sr1 in early access, with a smaller team, had 2 additional small side area expansions for biomes over where sr2 currently is. less slimes however.
- Limited actual communication as to what to expect since last november, and no significant update since febuary

Steam does lend itself to verify the game is still being developed, but that's the only reason i haven't really jumped on the board of 'its abandoned'. When your only source of information as to what to come is a third party in this relationship, and that's the only source there's been for months... you've got yourself issues. You'd think even with a no crunch environment we would see more progress in the updates, or at least communication on the progress, with a bigger team than a smaller one. Yet so far the smaller team they had back in early sr1 days is what i'd actually say wins out a bit...

I might change my recommendation status if we see an actual improvement in the communication, but to go from what they used to be in sr1 to what they are now, just raises too many red flags for me to recommend spending more money on sr2 than sr1 was...
