Super Bomberman R Online is super fun. Chucking, placing and kicking bombs that takes out other players when the bomb explodes. Simple yet can be quite addictive in it's own right.

I remember the last time played Super Bomberman was on the SNES a long time ago and I had a lot of fun with that. Now imagine playing the game with 63 other human players online going against each other in an all out battle. You can see how exciting and fun that would be. Each character has their own perks and individual set of abilities added to it makes the game unpredictable in the winning outcome of the game from various playstyle duking it out all over the arena. You never know you're full-proof safe even when you camp in the corner.

Steam has tons of Shanghai mahjong tile games but those ain't real mahjong. Mahjong Club is one of a few that is the real deal mahjong game.

Despite some bugs, the gameplay is surprising good. Every character in the game has their own special ability and perks that are naturally inclined towards having advantage over the outcome of their hands or favour towards a certain of play style, or having a higher chance of drawing a particular class of tiles, or gravitating towards a certain yaku.

The anime-ish characters and their abilities and skills resembles the counterpart from the characters of the Saki anime. It reminds me of the gameplay of some character's special skills somewhat similar to the Saki mahjong games on PSP/PSvita, such as Saki's trademarked special mahjong skill, "Rinshan Kaihou" or the "Dead wall draw".

A plus is that Mahjong Club is beginner friendly to those who are new to mahjong. It has a nice beginner friendly tutorial and practice drill to introduce newcomers to the basics of mahjong and yakus.

Mahjong Hime/Hime Mahjong is as good if not better Mahjong Soul in terms of game play, graphics, sounds, and features. I'd say it is a rip-off of Mahjong Soul.

The gameplay (A.I) and gameplay mechanics is somewhat similar. A.I/chances/rate of drawing the right tenpai tile behaviour is similar, in fact, all Japanese mahjong video games I have played all have more or less the similar A.I behaviour. I had played dozens upon dozens of mahjong games to come to this conclusion in my experience to feel that they have similar A.I/chance/rate algorithm code.

I think these programmers they ripped off the code off one another from an older mahjong game source code, starting from the 80's mahjongs games from arcades and early Japanese Nec PC88/98 computers, from there carried on to consoles all way to 90's, towards new millenium 2000, I played a fair share among these systems. The algorithm code evolved from there on, but still retain core behaviour.

On a per-game basis of each game, code is tweaked to modify some of chances/rate/A.I to alter behaviour, depending on gameplay or special abilities/skill/perk/cheat available on the mahjong games.

Hime Mahjong is only available in Chinese and Japanese. Before you install you have to select between these languages by right clicking on play and going to properties.

One problem/issue I had was installing the Chinese version (not knowing I can choose the Japanese version) and logging using my Steam account and then registered a nickname. When I changed to the Japanese version and logged into game using my Steam account I cannot register the nickname that I already registered in the Chinese version.

In other words, when log in Chinese or Japanese version using your Steam account or you registered a new account in either of these versions, you cannot register the same nickname that was registered under these variations of logins. So beware that you should use the right version in your first attempt make an account to login to register your nickname.

This game has great value in the fact that you could easily make online friends, at the comfort of your own home, provided that you spend some time hanging around with them.

It is a good social platform to practice your social skills, conversational/talking skills, and public speaking skills, which can benefit you in the real world and boost confidence. You can use it to improve your thought process to words conversion, in terms of searching for what to say in the right context speaking out what you have in mind, reflecting your train of thought, thus better articulation in your speech. If you use it as some sort of practice or drill to improve your speech and language fluency.

This game is right up the alley for folks who likes anime-ish looking characters/avatars, fans of anime and/or anime games, otaku, weebs, and Japanophiles (folks who likes Japanese culture).

If you decide to look further and delve deeper into it, you can create your own world and avatars in 3D that you can use on the platform, acting as an impetus for you to delve in the art of 3D modelling, thereby encouraging you to get creative and learn new skills in 3D modelling in order make things that you can truly be proud of that which you have made with your own skills, which is a very rewarding feeling.

A gripe I have is the cost of the subscription, being $9,99 for one month, $99.99 for a year subscription, in order for you use basic features like using your own avatar/character models. It'll be more accessible to even more players and give a better value if the dev could reduce the price to $40.00 for a year subscription. What's even better is to sell it as a one-time retail-price for the game, along with additional dlcs you can buy in-game.

A warning though, it can get you hooked into logging in and hanging around for a long time, spending a huge amount of your time totally consuming your real life counterpart. Getting you totally addicted to it if you're not careful, which can have a negative impact on your life.
