This game is powerful. I play it every couple of years.
It is beautiful, story driven, and one of the most relatable games and stories i've ever experienced.

It's 6:30am. I awake to find the police beat me in my sleep again. I believe in a balanced lifestyle. In the mornings, if i'm not hallucinating I make sure to inhale deeply from a bag of unidentified mushrooms. Before going upstairs to deposit several live rats in my neighbors apartment. They do not like this. -Reggie

Game no longer works for the last month or so. Freezes my entire pc on startup now. It was fun but I guess that's all I get to play

As someone that is usually spooked too easily to play horror games. This has good pace, and for a new game dev that's very impressive !

First off, I had a lot of fun with the game. It scratched an itch that someone who loves rpg\survival craft games knows very well... But... The end-game is just not fun. As an mmo, I understand the need to time-gate certain progression avenues. But the current most important currency in the game 'Starchrom' is not able to be earned in game through high-end content. You're merely drip-fed meager ammounts that would take weeks to gather enough to start experimenting with different builds. As of now, if you don't know *exactly* what to build then you're SOL because you can't do anything to gain more but wait for the weekly reset to get about 3k more (one piece of gear can cost from 3k or 8k each so it'll take WEEKS to put a set together).
I like the game, its fun, it made me legitimately jump and get spooked a couple times, but the end-game time-gate nature of being the 'havers vs the have-nots' makes me not want to play. If I could refund things I bought starchrom with to try other things sure. But as of right now, especially with the only content this week being unlocked is 'hard mode' of dungeons and bosses, there's nothing to do but farm people in pvp that made worse decisions with their starchrom than I did.

It just sucks because the game is FREE, in NO way shape or form pay to win, but what kills my overall enjoyment is the end-game. That's pretty much most mmo's though isn't it?

Game is fun, but mmo time-game rears its head again / 10

Heavy half life vibes where you're a scientist not unlike Gordon, with a skill and talent system like project zomboid. survive, craft, build a base, explore the compound uncovering the story and new areas, new resources to craft new things. For being early access and only having a few enemy types so far the story is interesting and there's a surprising amount of polish already. I think i'm about 50 hours in and haven't explored or seen everything yet so i've already absolutely gotten my money's worth, and even once i'm done i'll absolutely be following the game for updates !

Never thought i'd see a resonance cascade, let alone create one / 10

Buggy launch, crashed a couple times so far, but the gameplay is SMOOTH and I can absolutely see myself sinking a ton of hours into this. Iron out the launch-day jank and it'll be up there with vermintide 2\Darktide.

I went in with no expectations and no hype, I wasn't among those that were following the game up to launch or waiting for however many years since its announcement. I mention that so that I can say with complete and total sincerity and let you know that I mean when I say... This game is.. BORING.

98% of npcs are marked as essential, the UI is awful and not at all obvious for how inventory and transportation work. No maps by the way. The combat is dull, guns have very little punch to them, enemies are bullet sponges, and the quest design... Follow an objective marker, activate a thing, talk or kill to people. That is every single quest without fail.

I could go on and on but i'd rather do.. Literally anything else. Someone called this skyrim in space, that should have been my warning. I thought skyrim was boring as h*ck too.
