I'm not going to lie—the first time I bought People Playground back in 2021, it was a game I couldn't get enough of. There were so many interesting things you could do, and the workshop made the game a hundred times better at one point.

However, as of now, the last major update was in October 2023, marking a year without new updates. I'm not saying the game is bad in general, but it has become heavily dependent on the workshop. As the workshop started offering fewer high-quality mods and structures, the game began to feel repetitive.

With nothing new to do, you simply open the game, spawn a building or a few, and then feel the need for something different. You close the game, browse the workshop, and hopefully find something nice to try out. After playing for a few minutes, you close the game again. This cycle makes it hard to stay engaged for the long term.

I don't necessarily think the game or it's community is bad, nor do I suggest that you shouldn't try it. However, from my experience of spending more than just a few hours on it, I regret investing that time in this game.

If you enjoy sandbox games, give People Playground a try—the first few hours can be very fun and engaging. However, if you're looking for 100+ hours of gameplay, I don't recommend this game for long-term enjoyment. It would benefit from more consistent updates and higher-quality mods to maintain its initial charm.
