So, doom eternal has arrived, and it has been my most anticipated game of all time. And boy, oh boy was it worth it. It's the best game i have ever played. It takes everything good from DOOM 2016, and makes it a lot better. The games movement is the best i've ever seen. With all the dashing, the grappling hook on the super shotgun (my favourite addition) and refreshing dashes on glory kills, it makes the game one of the most fast paced experiences i've had. With Mick Gordon's soundtrack backing the game up, it makes it extremely fun and exciting to play. The extreme amount of collectibles as well, make the game a thrill to play through. Some secrets were hidden so well, that i ended up searching them up. So, after completely finishing the game, all collectibles, and even finding the doom 1 and 2 on the game computer in game, i consider this the best game i've ever played. After having played a few battle mode matches as well, I can honestly say it’s damn fun if you bring the right people. Playing as the slayer is extremely intense, and tests everything you’ve learnt from the campaign. The demons have a bit more of a challenge, since it’s more on teamwork and communication. But if done right, boy is it devastating.

The ancient gods dlc is insane. Having almost beat it on ultra nightmare, and having played through it multiple times, i can say that this is the plutonia of 2020. It's insanely hard, and it's the biggest test of skill that i've been through since, well, plutonia. The new enemies are cool, the spirit is hard to deal with, and the turrets are annoying, but the maps make up for it, since the map designs and layouts are fantastic. You always feel like it's your fault when you fail a run, not the game's. If you're looking for one of the hardest challenges of gaming, then run The Ancient Gods on ultra nightmare. So, the dlc is a 10/10.

10/10. The movement and combat loop, combined with the insane amount of collectibles and battlemode, make it a must buy.
