a bit too fun, the whole day goes past in the span of ~80 turns. game suited only for the biggest of gits.

actually ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incredible game. i'm not normally a fan of competitive fps ♥♥♥♥, but this game *seriously* stuck with me. pristine movement, overly fast-paced sweaty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, dope weapons, unique maps, a surprisingly nice playerbase, AND its free. can't recommend this more, it's consumed 17 hours of my life in 3 days.

not sure how i feel about this game. tl;dr there's a high chance you'll hate this, buy it on sale, dont pay full price. if you don't like complex games, iron-mode or losing hours of progress 24/7, dont bother playing it.

this game is a proper mixed bag of peak and utter ♥♥♥♥♥.
the gameplay is really fun, weapon and gear variety is dope and incredibly fun to play around with, the ingame systems are complex and challenging, etc. there's also workshop mods available to handle or minimize a few of the game's main issues.

my main issue with the game is the lategame balancing (difficulty increases exponentially with time, and doesn't seem to cap *at all*), and the luck-dependent "get ♥♥♥♥♥♥" difficulty. I adore difficult games, and that's the main reason this review isn't negative.
if you're slightly unprepared or make a single misplay, it WILL cost you your run and kill off your character, resetting your skills and destroying all your held items which ends up punishing you for experimenting with the games massive arsenal and recently added bionics. you try a new build, it's slightly flawed, or you misplay due to being unfamiliar with it, and now your xp, gear and bionics are reset. i dont like being punished for trying new things and experimenting with the game's systems, feels counter-intuitive chastising players for branching out.
given the limited inventory space and luck reliance, it can take *hours* to get decent gear, just for it to be wiped by an unlucky stunlock from a basic enemy. now you're left with no gear, and the unending difficulty curve has made it harder to build back from rock bottom.

other than that, the game's pretty good. most of the negative reviews I see is just malding from people who dont understand the games mechanics. the main issues I see brought up are:

- "the rng healing sucks!! im just dying because the 7 bandages i applied didn't heal it!!!"
the rng healing is irritating, but managable. to handle wounds without meds, go to any corpse on the map, dismantle their armour, and use the cloth to stabilize your injury. it wont heal it, but it stops you from bleeding out long enough for you to find an autodoc or extract. also, if you're using 7 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bandages on one wound without it healing, i'm just gonna assume you're using the wrong healing item. you cant fix cell irradiation with bandages, you gotta carry specific ♥♥♥♥ for different wounds, so bring ♥♥♥♥ appropriate for the faction you're fighting.

- "i opened a door and ran into a strong enemy and just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ died!!" SNEAK more. while in stealth, opening and closing doors doesn't use a turn. you open it, look through, assess the room and the enemies, and then you're free to close it and run, or go in and fight. never engage large groups and make sure to use EVERYTHING you have to kill enemies, no matter how strong. bad luck with a couple weaklings can still stunlock you and leave you heavily wounded or dead.

honestly great, solid game. really well done, good endings, the stealth is nice. i'm an impatient ♥♥♥♥, so stealth games like this aren't normally my thing. this, however, was still fun.

brilliant game, wonderful story. gameplay is surprisingly immersive as a result of the simulated living ecosystem, everything feels alive and connected.
