If you went that far in the Legend of Heroes series you gonna enjoy this one (as usual)
If you want to know about the series, this isn't the first stop, and the first Kuro isn't either (If you want the real experience, look at the Sky)

Early Access Review
Havn't played it much for now but I can already say this is the best city builder i've experienced
They nailed the Roguelite+City builder combo! Each "run" or settlement in that case feels different and going around the options you have to optimize your settlement is really fun.
I expected to be hard on the teeth because of the complexity of it, but surprisingly it's super easy and pleasant to use thanks to the clever UI. Thus learning the game is satisfying but you don't feel overwhelmed.

It's simply an amazing game, check some footages if you are still hesitating, but when you have it on your own hands it feels even better!

Havn't finished yet, but it's easy to recommend it already!
If you like the aestetics showned, enjoyed Fire Emblem or to be honest any tactical old school RPG, this is really a game for you!
Inspired by many legendary other games, one can tell it's a project made with passion
+ Story is engaging
+ Battle on point, even in hardest difficulty, it's well balanced (no need to try 20 times a mission to get the perfect score)
+ Character Optimisation is complex and yield !
++ The Music is fantastic!
++ Big nostalgia hit but the game still feels fresh!
+ Not pricey

-- Maximum resolution is a bit low, i have to play it on a smaller windowed than my 2K screen. Full screen is too much extended
- The Squad menu needs some time to get used to it, and it's not the most ergonomic. You'll have to get your way through it, and even once you got comfy with it, it still hurts a bit \_o_/

With some VA (Japanese especially) It would already really be my best tactical JRPG.

Well this is Cold Steel, if you don't know it. Go to step one at least. If you've done I and II and not the Sky series, i think it's best to know about Sky trilogy before jumping into CSIII.

I want to say i'm actually very surprises about the improvements they made on this episode : graphisms & new combat menu. This is incredible and i just started finished Chapter One.
This is promising and i like the new faces a lot more than i expected.

Writting review on this game is kinda futile, if you're this far in the series, you know how good Falcom already is. If you don't know the Kiseki games, then you're looking at the wrong game to buy.

A very good game to play while confined in house !
If you like old style tactical games, it's for ya! It's More straightforward than a fire emblem, but with many more units and overpowered spells to use (so for me it's like an Arcade Fire Emblem)
I will not speak about the story, it's kind of classic where i am at the moment (5 hours) will see the next, it's not unpleasant but not incredible too.

If you have the reference, it's kinda like the battlefields of Suikoden II, but in a whole game.
I hope you do know this game, fools.

Play CS I and finish it before even looking of some images of this game.

Even better than the first (No more school>field study>school>field study... cycle that was a bit repetitive)
Now it's time for some real adventure.
This is too good. I loved it so much. Can't wait for the III to pop there.

If you're here, you've finished the one, so this review isn't really usefull because you'll like the game anyway. (Falcom got you)

All hail Falcom. o/

It took me 3 years to find the courage to continue the game after beeing around mid/late game of the stories.
But after beating the Crossbell Arc, i dived into it again. And god. This was so good.

Can be a bit cliché and repetitive from times to times, but the great combat system, good voice actors (♥♥♥ for me) and the overall story plot that goes crazy makes it one of the best adventures i've ever been in.

i'd recommend playing Trails in the Sky first, but this is not mandatory (Cold Steel is not really revealing what happened exactly in Liberl, the country where the Sky series event happens) But in my opinion, you'll miss something, and if you love Cold Steel insane battle system, you'll like the old Sky series too.

The entry point. Where you can fall deep into around the greatest series of JRPG ever made.
You wouldn't believe how good it will be.

If you love Turn based Combat (deep and engaging) and you're not afraid of Cliché and old fashionned graphism, then you'll love it.
This game is not only cliché all around, it got great story... Greater than you'll ever think.

This masterpiece of games (From this one up to Cold Steel) is fighting right next to others giants of the genre in my pantheon, and they got the top spot.
