Too heavy on the nostalgia and references, but a good Monkey Island still.

The only thing I don't like in Pathfinder Kingmaker is that it could be shorter.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 takes the first game, throws out everything bad about it and improves the rest. Good single player game which is even better as a co-op.

Celeste is my game of the year 2019. Awesome gameplay with challenging levels that support your growth, because you can easily try over and over again. This is the same mechanic that made Hotline Miami so great.

Celeste also has a really good story which caught me by surprise. If I'd change anything, I would only rename the game to Escape Goat 3.

Blood Bowl never captured my attention when I played the board game. It was fun, but also tedious to setup and play, basically an exercise in counting in your head.

I didn't care for the PC adaptation either, but my friends were playing it and having excited discussions, which made me want to try it for myself. Luckily I did, as it's probably one if not the best game I've played this year.

The only negative I can come up with is that friends to play with are a must.

I enjoyed Call of Cthulhu. It's not a scary game, and it's not an RPG. It's a story told using the Call of Cthulhu RPG mechanics. This makes it quite interesting, as many story-focused games don't feature randomness in skill checks. Storywise Call of Cthulhu is nothing special, but enjoyable for the quite short experience.

It's a slow game, but it's also short so I guess it's okay. Unlike Undertale which is overrated (but has a lot of awesome stuff, like the song Undertale!), Doki Doki Literature Club! made me feel fuzzy. And whenever a game does that, it's a good sign.

Star Realms is a great game for short breaks between doing other stuff. The game is really simple to pick up, but after 20 hours I still cannot tell how deep the skill cap goes. Highly recommended (y)
