Fun game to play with friends or by yourself. Still janky but expect the devs to fix all the small bugs, but it is fun as it is today.

Great game. 8/10
Lacks re-playability and better server meshing. Don't build too much too closer to your friends or suffer the curse of 5 FPS. :)

Would love to see stronger server setups, and deeper build and society gameplays. Make build and trades a thing.

Right now it is very much a one-and-done game. I have built small cities in the game, but nothing is built around keeping you in the game with your friends. This part would be great.

The game is good and fun, but far from a game you keep coming back to. It is a 6/10.
NG+ is a testiment to that challenge - it feel repetitive.

I have 200+ hours in the game, and the reason I give is a negative recommendation is mainly because of the initial promise of infinite game play and make things your own with a reason to always come back, and the lack thereof. The Shattered Space DLC was a massive flop and brought nothing new to the game worth $30. Especially when all characters pretty much look the same - yours will stand out, but you will meet 80% clones.

It will give you some fun for the first run and you might push a good 50-70 hours when you explore, before you reach a point where you either start over or go for the NG+ (New Game+). If you are good on that, then you will have fun.

It's funny that I can say the typical Bethesda glitches and annoying gameplay issues is well alive in this new game. I guess the same people still work there and don't have a focus on growing the engine and GP.

The ship building is interesting, however, also quite pointless. You can't build any large vessel without a MOD and that will most likely break part of your game. The ship has no function on the surface and you can't really use it for anything on a planet - so why have they not let people build LARGE cruisers, and have us build small landing vessels that we use when going to a planet. Would be so much more fun to suddenly have a 200m cruiser and enter a large UC fight - land with a small shuttle on planet.

While this is visually nice to see a planet with some colors and creative ideas, I ultimately expect any DLC to offer an expansion to gameplay and story. Especially at a $30 price, that you can buy a completely new game for. Shattered Space did not deliver on that.

There was no new game mechanics (no a grav bubble is not something relevant), just visually different and harder NPCs. The story run for the three houses felt like they made one, and then copy pasted it.

No new companion, or cool new spaceship. They missed a great opportunity to make a quest line that was completely different in setup from the original ones. They could have made this reach other planets, as the Va'ruun had fearful history. Even with Andreja, who is Va'ruun, the only connection was a few dialog options - here it would have been amazing with a unique side story, or something unique that happens because of her past.

I bought the full game with DLC from the start - if I had not, I would have requested a refund, as this expansion is not worth $30. This is an $8 release at most.

I was really hoping to get new energy to the game after 200+ hours, it no longer feels like the infinite universe with constant fun and different lives. A shame.

The reason this is a great game is simply because it offers something games have been missing. A way to make people in squads work together and not go solo-jerk. The fact they even made it about all of humanity, is even better. This is a social game changer that games needed.

Does it crash from time to time? Yes. There might be a little too much focus on adding stuff to the game than making it more stable. However, we also have to remember, that the game code was never meant to break all records with 300K+ consecutive gamers online. The pressure on servers and the code is literally 10x, so with that in mind, the game is expected to have issues.

Adding some more fun and crazy things to do and making it easy to snap video or pics of that would be sweet, because it is a game that has so many fun and crazy moments.

Oh, and no play to win. What is not to love. Add a campaign mission to this game and all the AAAA studios would have to learn a lesson from Helldivers 2.

Either way, instant drop and fun with friends or other people makes this game an absolute win. Play at all levels is amazing. You don't need to be level 50 to have fun like in so many other games and their annoying grind.

So if you read a traitors review saying this is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Ignore them, report them to Central and come in and fight for freedom and Super Earth.

I was so excited to see this game coming out, pre-order and everything, but extremely disappointing to see the lack of QA testing before release. I have a max spec gaming computer (nvidia, intel) and it is a stuttering experience.

Texture shaders are flickering on EVERYTHING, no matter the settings. Rotating the camera is janky. Sure, flickering might not be much, but when you have a ton of houses that becomes very annoying.

Maybe spend less time on launch promotion playing it on a crane and focus on making the game run.
So sad that experienced game studios release these unfinished games. Indie games run better than this.

Very disappointing. Another bad experience to add to the distrust in studio releases.

Requesting a refund and then let's see if they ever fix it.

Mindless fun. The only downside is that it doesn't save your levels or money in the cloud. Would be nice if you would play on a PC and then still keep your stats and money when playing the game on a laptop.

AAA Game at a D- level on a high-end gaming system. It feels like this is the first game they released. I have always loved BF but these past few releases have been very poorly done. It is hype to buy the game and then GLHF when you want to play it. Constant crashes, glitches and Origin just being, well, Origin. Graphics is not really as the vids and when you get to play with no crashes, then look out for the hovercrafts that can drive up a building. I understand games have issues when launched but with Alpha, Beta and a Zero day patch that resolved about 1% of the major issues, this is finally where I put BF on the same shelf as COD. I will hope they fix some so it can provide a little entertainment, but I would not recommend anyone to buy it as the game is now. Support an A studio instead. Their games might work and devs actually listen to the community.

Great game. Loads of fun. Excited to see what features they get to add towards the official release.
