Saw some good evaluations on it and a big sales on it and i am a good fan of some nfs + seen that there is cops to fight and a heat system makes though of the good time of NFS Most Wanted (2006), which is my favorite of the series.

my first though were : the games look really good and i like a lot the cars, it will maybe a lot of fun.

But NFS heat has some HUGE problems ...
First off - where is the fun ? A part of what did make NFS most wanted great for me at the time is that you could play with the cops, destroy them while still having that rush because you knew that every spike on the road could mean an instant busted. Here ... well the cops are overpowered. Completly destroying your car in 2 sec with no way of really fighting back. Also all the heat system is bad, because they don't care that the same car from last night who ravaged everything is back ? What ?
Also only 3 mode ? Sprint, drift and dirt ? that's it ? the side collectibles are ok but did they tests some activtivies like the drifts one ? i've never been more frustrated at something so pointless and hard ...
Second - The story is .. garbage ... makes no sense ... writen with the ass ... won't spoil anything for you but ... just BAD writing all over ...
Third - Mmmmh did you test the handling of drift cars ? i had to watch a couple video to understand how to drift in this game and how to mod the car to drift because it's so bad in this game (and i'm not new at all to race games).
And finaly ... there is no endgame ... like you done with all the top alert, the story and most of the race ... well it's now empty.

So yeah, maybe a bit harsh to compare it to one of the best NFS but NFS heat is the definition of good from the outside, empty and bad from the inside.
