I was very sceptical at first, but now it counts to the top games I have ever played. I completed it two times, which I actually never do with any game.

Also, I hate it when games have alot of DLCs which almost stopped me from buying it. But it's okay, it's just skins and multiplayer stuff. Just don't buy the DLCs.

Best competetive Duel FPS.

I'd say the biggest negative, like in many competitive games, sadly is the community. This makes it even harder for beginners who can expect a hard learning curve anyway.

My recommendation for beginners: Find someone similar to your skill to practice with. Matchmaking can be very frustrating.

One of the best local co-op experiences I had so far. A definitive recommendation if you like to play with a friend/girlfriend and two gamepads.

One awesome thing is how, they solved the problem of local co-op combined with an rpg system. In this game one player can access the menu for his inventory, skilltree and equiptment without interrupting the other player, who can continue to fight/walk and even open his own menu.

The story might not be the most awesome one, but i wouldn't say it is bad. It still has some small twists and keeps you going.

I also recommend playing (a second time) on the hardest difficulty setting, which is called 'covacs way'. You have to plan and watch your resources more carefully.

The one negative thing I'd say is, that it probably looses alot of it fun-factor when playing alone.

EDIT2 (TL;DR):
If you are searching a game to play competitively with a gamepad, search on or try something like 'speed runners'. Players on keyboard/mouse have an advantage, especially since this does not have twin stick controls.

EDIT:
The spawning in mid-game and even late game (1min before end) is still there, this is just because of the really bad matchmaking, which is also mentioned in alot of reviews.
I have a bigger problem now, I wish there would be a game I can play competetive on my couch with my gamepad. This seems to be one, actually this seems to be the only one. But it is not possible to play, since you can also play it with keyboard and mouse which makes you alot more accurate. But when I am with my desktop pc I play real games, like Quake, UT, DOTA. I wish there would be a way to play with other gamepad players.
Sadly, this way there is no reason to try to get better at this game, since you are always outplayed by mouse-aimers. :/

OLD REVIEW:
Could be a good game. Unfortunately they spawn you into a team in mid-game. Where the bot you replace is lvl 2 and your enemies are lvl 5. This removes every possibility of being a competetive game. And I dont want to play multiplayer without competitiveness.

Early Access Review
It is just the same frustrating experience like DayZ with cheaters, spawn-killers and unfriendly people.

Maybe those are just not my type of games, but I really miss some layer of 'save-space' in all the pvp survival games to make it less frustrating. Some tiny base or crate you can't loose.

Or some 'round-system' where you all start new on mondays and the last surviver gets crowned during the week. Or maybe daily competitions. I don't know. But I won't look after my virtual house every damn hour for one month and then loose it when I don't have time to login for a day.

The current survival games are an overhyped and underdeveloped gametype in my opinion.

Such a good book and game. This is one of the singleplayer games I enjoyed the most. It has awesome immersion and atmosphere. The stations feel so alive and real, you can spot small details everywhere. Then there are the scary and dark subway tunnels and the rough world outside the subway system, where you have to use a gas mask to survive.

Take your time with this one, darken your room, put a drink on the table and give it at least two hours. No game for in-between.

CS:GO Review
Counter-Strike always focused on good game- and teamplay instead of realism and fancy effects. This is something an eSport game needs. CS:GO feels like 1.6 but looks better. So I would say it's the best out of 1.6/Source.

Also I think this game is here to stay. The skin-system makes it possible for the developers to keep this game updated and add new content since the game generates money even after the purchase. This is something alot of multiplayer games lack and one reason mobas like lol and dota are a huge success and games like StarCraft lose ground.

It is a game worth investing some time and effort in order to see yourself climb in the ladder and enjoy watching the pros. Also everyone should play with friends and use voice-chat.
