it is so hard to understand whats going on at the end of a run you just see 700 particle effects with 20 sounds playing every half second but it feels like crack

This DLC is so unbelievably huge and its no question that it is worth the $40. That being said, the bosses vary in quality, some bosses are genuinely peak and others are a little mid (the final boss is not that great). However even with that said, there is a boss in here that I would put in my top 5 fromsoft bosses.

The world and exploration I honestly found alot better than the base game even, and they gave you much more reason to explore with the new scadutree fragments. The world has so many layers and there is always something around the corner. Everything feels alot more compacted together, resulting in a lot less downtime while exploring.

This also has some of my favorite NPCs in any souls game. The quests I did were pretty easy to follow, I never had to look up a guide. One of them even maybe shed a tear when they died, which has never happened before with souls games and genuinely surprised me how much emotion they put behind their lines.

Overall synopsis: 9.2/10
