If anyone ever wondered if games can be considered art, let them play this game. It's a master piece in gameplay and storytelling. You'll go from hopeful, to depressed, to crying tears of hapiness AND sadness at the same time.
The less you know about the game, the better.

It's like left 4 dead with modern graphics, but without the mods, personality and fun gameplay.
Just get left 4 dead 2, it's cheaper and better.

It's the good ol' fun of playing tag with your friends, except you have a bomb.
Also gotta give props to the movement for being very solid and triggering that titanfall itch.

A fun little VR experience. While there are no real portals in the game, it still has both the puzzles and humor from the original portal games. Definitively check it out if you have a couple minutes to spare!

Early Access Review
An incredibly fun horror co-op game. I've only played it in VR, which is incredibly immersive. When the ghost walks right past you, you will feel your heartbeat. I'm all happy and calculated at first, but as soon as the ghost appeares once, I run back outside with my breath held the entire way.
My only real problem with the game are the vr hands. I have an index, and this game does somewhat support it. In the settings, you can turn grabbing to holding instead of a toggle, and use the finger presence instead of the grip "button", which required me to almost crush my controller. I also had to disable the trackpad, as the game sees that as movement input. However, the hand placement is way of. You can move and rotate it in the settings, but they masively change when grabbing certain objects. However, with the game being in early access, I can easily get by this.
In short, Phasmophobia is a great early access horror co-op, and the VR support makes it even better.

Early Access Review
Despite this game being in early access, it's already very good and addictive. The devs are also very nice and like to interact with the community, which is always a plus.
I'd write a longer review, but my factory needs attention. I have to optimize this line, build that one, make more electricity... the factory must grow...

It's good. Can't really not recommend it, as you can't play VR games on steam without it. It works well, and I've barely had any issues with steamVR itself, even when running the beta.
It's also great that it supports basically every pc VR headset on the market right now, even oculus, who specifically don't want this. As a general tip for people who own an oculus headset, it's better to buy stuff on steam, as this allows you to play with non-oculus friends, and can have easier modding. However, I have heard that games can run slightly worse on steamVR for oculus headsets. This is because both oculusVR and steamVR are active at the same time, which obviously takes more resources than on a steamVR headset with just steamVR running.
One small nitpick is that steamVR currently uses openVR, while windows mixed reality and oculus use the new openXR. This might not seem like a problem, but this means that you can't easily make a unity VR game that works on both steamVR and oculus. This is especially a problem with the index, as unity will then see it as a vive wand, and severely limit the knuckles' functionaly.
Overall, a great piece of software that I can't live without anymore. And the index is a great thing too.

Beat Saber is basically THE game you need to buy when you get a VR headset. For some people, its even the ONLY reason to get VR. The game perfectly shows what in VR is easy to do, but impossible in flat games. You don’t need to be a fan of rhythm games to enjoy it. If you’ve got at least one arm, you can enjoy the game.

What really makes the game though, are the mods. Beat saber has a decent collection of songs, with some dlc focused around a single artist/artist group. However, most of these are songs with heavy beats. These types of songs are perfect for a rhythm game, but might not be your taste. Mods allow people to make there own beat maps, and upload them for others to use. The modding scene is very big, and only growing.

In short, Beat Saber is a must have for VR. Granted, you probably didn’t need me to tell you that.

Early Access Review
update Juli 2022
Recently VRchat added Easy AntiCheat, which is known to be bad for performance and easily bypassed by malicious parties. This however did disable many good mods like accessibility mods that make it possible for people to play this game. I don't think I need to explain how bad it is to suddenly exclude people from a social game.

update (December 2020) at bottom

This game is a weird mess, but it's a beautiful one. Because the real world is basically ending right now, a lot of people might not have been able to interact with others. Lots of people might also be getting vr to escape said burning world. In vrchat, there is always somebody to talk with, and something to do. I've met a bunch of absolutely amazing people from all over the world. Even an anti-social person like me has fun!

Because everything in this game is community made, you'll always be able to do something, even if you're not feeling like talking with others. From horror games, to shooters, you can do so much in this game. It's also pretty easy to make stuff yourself, as long as you know a bit of unity.

However, this complete freedom is actually a double edged sword. In 5 words; this game runs like ♥♥♥♥. 90 fps is less common than finding a unicorn with a gun (IRL that is, that type of weirdness common in VRC). Activate a mirror? Bye bye fps! You'll also freeze a lot, and a full crash is guaranteed at least once per session. The safety features help a bit, but are more of a way to block annoying lights/audio/etc. If you have epilepsy, you probably should not play this game. Also, moderation isn't really a thing, so fully modelled anime/furry lower bodies aren't uncommon.

In short, this game runs horrible, but it more than makes up for that with the amazing community. Try out some worlds, maybe you'll find some new friends!

Also, some tips:
- Turn off dynamic bone restrictions for fluffier tails/hair/ears in the top right submenu of the safety menu.
- Regularly clear your cache, as every world and avatar gets downloaded to your pc, and can clog up space fast. It's in the top right submenu in settings.
- It's perfectly fine to not talk ("be a mute"). In that case, it might be smart to learn VR ASL from the helping hands community. This makes it easier to communicate than with gestures/pens, as these aren't always easily understood/available.

Update (December 2020):
So, VRchat+ is a thing now. Other reviews have already talked about the problems it has and implies, so I won't go into that. I personally don't have it, for said reasons.
VRchat seems to me to be in a similar situation as YouTube. It's plagued by problems (like VRC's optimization and YT's AI), but there aren't any good alternatives. Rec Room is infested with kids, and more focused on playing games. Neos vr, while having the same, if not better customization as VRC, has way less people. VRchat is basically the only possible place for people to interact with others in the VR space. And the devs know it.
I hope they see the mistakes they've made, and reconsider some things. VRC+ doesn't have to be gotten rid of, but a price change and a drastic turn of focus from the devs could make me want to shell out some cash to support my most played game.
