If you enjoy collecting and driving/piloting WWII to Cold War era tanks and planes, you're naturally going to enjoy this game (at least somewhat). The modern era vehicles will require hundreds of hours of grinding to get to (and that's with premium time), so don't start playing if you want those quickly. Thankfully, the most fun tiers of the game tend to be early WWII (easy to get to), to late WWII (can take a while but nothing crazy).

This game has an Arcade mode where every player (ally & enemy) has markers over their name, as well as the vehicles driving and gun performance being improved. The other mode is Realistic, where only allies have markers and tanks drive and aim more realistically. Arcade can provide quick action, but Realistic allows every tank to shine due to flanking opportunities without being constantly marked. IMO Realistic is a much more interesting and rewarding mode, but a streak of unluckiness can be more punishing and frustrating than in Arcade.

After reaching 700 hours of playtime, I have reached the highest tier of USSR tanks, almost highest French tanks, low tier German & American tanks, as well as mid tier USSR planes and low tier French planes. About half or more of this grinding was done with premium time (+100% research speed) and in some cases premium vehicles (another 100% research speed).

High tier is sort of a mess when you combine poorly sized/developed maps with modern tanks and badly implemented helicopters, but when you consider the fact that the game is free you can't be too upset at it. As for the lower tiers, this game is definitely worth playing.
