Oh no, space chem. Unsolicited suggestion - the 'campaign' will skip you straight past the challenge missions for each planet (at least it did in Android) - but since each planet gives you new tools, I found going back to do the challenges for early planets frustrating because my brain wanted to use all the advanced tools (which I guess is kind of the point). If you like it enough to do the challenges, it might be less frustrating to do them at the time (or maybe not).

I had a moment playing this game on the way to work where I realised that it was literally a gamefied version of my job (though with more conveyer belts).

Since you asked about Rogue Legacy: it's incredibly addictive, and I am somewhat obsessed with finishing it despite the fact that I am TERRIBLE at metroidvania style games. The adding of lineage and persistent leveling really breathes new life into the genre. It does however fall apart a little in the later stages as the game levels up with you, and you have runs where you see the same things (or similar, Roguelike as it is) and die before gaining enough money to level up. My advice is to start pushing towards the bosses early.

As for how it compares with Spelunky, I can't wait to finish Rogue Legacy, I look forward to playing Spelunky for the rest of my life.

Does this count as a "status update", here? I'm increasingly retreating from Bookface in favour of this — and Untappd, and Twitter — but really need to a) get used to it, and b) find my other friends.
