Easily my most played game on the Steam Deck, it's so easy to pick up and have fun for a bit!

If the game description wasn't enough to convince you, do yourself a favor and check a handful of (detailed) reviews first.
Although that sounds like a bad thing, I absolutely recommend this game (and so do 90% of reviewers).
I got this game at half price. But after completing it in about 10 hours, I would still not have a problem if I had gotten it at full price.

As many have said, this game lacks polish.
But some reviewers forget the fact that they didn't pay a "AAA price" or were bombarded with ads for this game everywhere, telling you how amazing it is and how you should preorder months in advance. That's because this isn't a AAA game.
Yes this is heavily inspired in the Portal series, but Stubby Games (at the time of writing) has a total of 1 game on Steam... Basically, set your expectations accordingly.

During my playtime I only had one major annoyance: the jump cubes. It's the only thing that, considering how much this game "took" from Portal, I would expect not to be a problem. I am not a game developer, so I'm not gonna say game physics like these are trivial. But Portal did it 10+ years ago and their development, techniques and ingenuity has been documented in many ways.

The puzzles are just as good as the story : they were both pretty fun and interesting, but of course have several things that could have been done better.
Most puzzles are closer to easy than challenging, but to me that was not a bad thing.
I felt they became more fun and rewarding during the second half of the game, not just because of the puzzles but also because of the interactions between Aria and Astra.

Unfortunately, this part also contains some of the lackluster situations, where they were clearly trying to "change it up" or forcefully make you feel a certain way. Like with most "destructive" environments and shoehorned situations. For example, when you are in the living quarters and, for some reason, you are basically forced to find two puzzle objects (to tackle a very deliberately and poorly executed "hazard") that, for some reason (except not really, because they also have a specific piece of intel to "explain" why those objects are there...), are stored in the only two rooms (out of several dozens) that are open, for no reason other than to serve as a minor (and mostly useless) plot point .

The graphics are great and the design ideas (in general) are pretty identical to Portal.
Lots of "lived in" and abandoned rooms mixed in with the "test chamber" look. But then also many common and outside areas that made me think of Prey (2017), basically showing you that it wasn't just about science and saving Earth .

Early Access Review
As many reviews have already stated, this game is not fully working and is longer being supported, so YMMV.
Personally, I wanted it to create custom quizzes and also play using original Buzz! controllers.
However, and quite unexpectedly, the problems I had were not specifically related with my particular use case.

I was able to create custom quizzes and use the Buzz! controllers without much of an issue.

What didn't work was actually loading the quizzes (some of the game types would not load because of insufficient questions or unknown errors) and , undoubtedly the most unexpected, loading the answers to the questions (I would start a quiz, the question, host and participants would show up but not the answers, meaning the game would not go on).
At first I tried with my custom quiz, but also tried with the standard quizzes and got the exact same results.

Also, I tried it on multiple devices (a gaming PC with W10 @ 1440p) and a Steam Deck (on both SteamOS and W10 @ 800p) and noticed the game would take significantly longer on my gaming rig (loading the game and each quiz). On SteamOS, in gaming mode, the controllers were not registered so I primarily tested on W10 (on both my PC and SD).

Easily one of the best games to have for any kind of LAN party. 1v1 with that family member you only see at xmas? Get a team of 5 with your mates and play competitive late into the night?
Is there even any shooter fan that *doesn't* have this game?

I was introduced to this game by someone that worked on it. Played the demo before release and had a very nice time (you should try it too!).

The full game has a fair bit more characters to interact with and places to see. The romance options are nice, the banter is fun and it's just a wholesome experience overall. It's perfect if you just want a game to relax but also with a nice story in it.
But that's pretty much it, don't expect triple-A level cut-scenes or storytelling, because you're not gonna get them here.

When talking to a friend about this game, I made some comparisons to Firewatch: it's pretty on the eye and can immerse you quite easily in its story. I won't say how they differ, because that would spoil the experience for both. But, if you've played Firewatch and enjoyed it, you're gonna have a pleasant time with this one 🙂

Very nice story, but quite short. Still, full price for it isn't a bad deal at all.

Do you like good beats? Do you like awesome sabers?
Honestly, this game is the perfect workout for anyone that dislikes going to the gym or the bore of doing things at home.
The base tracks are really good, but you should definitely get Mod Assistant and just add all your favourite tracks in the game! The community also makes really fun playlists, so I'd recommend looking at those if you wanna get some cool new beats or harder challenges.
I prefer the chill songs as I'm a bit of a closet dancer myself 😁
Point is, whether you like chill stuff or hardcore challenges, if you like rhythm games this game is a must!

After trying Racket Fury, Paddle Up and Eleven, this game is for me the best by far!
The options to modify your hand on the paddle, ball spin, the table, etc., it makes this game easily playable in so many situations (even SEATED!).
I demo this a lot and even people that do not know how to play, have a lot of fun.
Also, training (against AI or the ball machine) is top-notch! The different levels of AI difficulty are very good and the ball machine was pre-recorded training exercises (but you can also make your own!), which helps a lot to train or just warm up for some online play.

Personally, I haven't played nor feel the need to play a single match online, simply because I like to relax and have some fun, but also because I feel I'm not yet ready to face real players.

I'm still in the process of buying my first VR games and this is definitely a must-buy for anyone who enjoys table tennis (even if you suck at it, like me!)

One of the most enjoyable games of my entire life!
Out of the box, it was a very polished, but most of all, fun!
The learning is also a really important aspect of the game, as it's not easy in the beginning, but the community is amazing and you quickly learn the basics and some of the more advanced!

This will be a game I'll definitely play for years and years!

Update: After almost exactly 2 years this game keeps going like no other! A must-buy for any gamer! :)
