Fun but jank throwback to xbox 360 era action games.some encounters are hard due to their jankiness, but overall I recommend it for like $20 or less. More than that is a bit of a hard sell.

Very cute game reminiscent of classic Zelda games. Some of the puzzles are a little obtuse and there are some easily miss-able important items (you can pick them up by backtracking so no soft-locking).

Editing this review to positive as the issue with multiplayer on Linux has been resolved. This game is great fun, and hearkens back to "classic" action games on the Xbox 360 like Gears of War, Army of Two and the original Space Marine (and I'm really making myself feel old by calling those classics).

Great misunderstood game. It's a "light" 3rd person shooter (at least on normal) where you call on your allies' abilities do deal AOE damage, single target damage, stagger or crowd control. Mixed in with this, there is a "decisions matter" style conversation and interaction mechanic similar to the Telltale Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us games (though it's not the full focus of the game like in those).

Highly recommend for a 15 ish hour playthrough if it's on sale for around 25-30 bucks.

Once again, I wish there was a "mixed" option for reviews... Game is great fun when it works, but runs miserably and when it inevitably crashes, it locks up my whole PC, requiring a reboot.

I'm sure this game is for someone, but damn is it clunky. Attacks feel like they do no damage, melee misses half the time and the weird aim mechanics make it hard to properly decide what you're shooting at. It feel like I'm back on the PS2 in 2005 playing a bad Devil May Cry knockoff.

Fantastic mix of squad based RTS missions and XCOM style base management between missions. Being able to retreat in a mission to heal your characters and redeploy later is a great tactical option since you need to balance that with the world infestation level that increases between deployments

Game is great fun, but crashes every 30 minutes. No hints as to what the issue actually is, the game just freezes and needs to be force closed in task manager. At time of review, I've played about 5.5h, and it's crashed over 10 times.

If it didn't crash as often, it would be a recommend, but as it stands it's not.

Yet another game where I wish I could put a "mixed" review and not outright good or bad.

Tunic is an interesting spin on Zelda games that is ultimately let down by its combat. It's beautiful, has interesting puzzles and a cool story concept. Unfortunately, the 2nd half of the game has a huge difficulty spike with enemies that spend the combat dodging just out of reach while the camera just spends all the fight rotating constantly messing up your movements.

I had great fun up till said halfpoint after which it just felt like a chore to get it done.

Fantastic remake of a fantastic game. Yes the could have done a bit more changes and make things fresh, but then too many people would complain it's too different from the original.
