Before i go off on this game, it’s an 11/10
This game never fails to not amaze me. Yes, it can be difficult, but the developers of this game are genius.
The game perfectly simulates a survival game, at least what every one should be. In the start, the “overseer” doesn’t tell you how to do these advanced movements, how to change regions, or anything about the creatures and dangers of the ecosystem. It’s the gameplay itself that explains things to you the more you explore. And in my opinion, every survival game should be exactly like this, not giving you any hints of how to survive.
And some of the key details in this game is the fact that the creatures aren’t made for you to kill them… They’re just as equal as you, trying to survive for themselves, looking for food, and trying not getting caught in the rain.
Even the soundtrack in this game perfectly explains what emotion you’ll get when entering a new region or area, perfectly spacing the music out, and distinguishing it from other games. It’s like a little gift away from all the craziness.

In conclusion, this game’s vast, beautiful environment is quite rewarding for its difficulty. So if you keep thinking to yourself “This games difficulty is ridiculous”, just remember that Rain World wasn’t made to be comfortable or fun, it was made for you to feel like you’ve accomplished something, without actually gaining anything really special. And that’s exactly what surviving should feel like.
