Even though there has been recent controversy with the Epic buyout, I still highly recommend this game.

First off, even though I personally don't like the idea of Epic owning Rocket League, I still think that the recent acquisition will bring more positives to the game than negatives. Faster/more updates, a larger playerbase, and a bigger esports scene are among those positives. While both Psyonix and Epic have been quiet regarding many questions players have, I truly believe that both companies will listen to what we want, such as continuing support for workshop maps and mods like AlphaConsole or Bakkes.

With that out of the way, Rocket League is an amazing game. It is extremely addicting and challenging with a unique style of gameplay that is unmatched today. While the community can be toxic at times, overall everyone is friendly and supportive of the game. Matches usually range from 5-10 minutes depending on overtime and other factors, making it easy to get on and play a few matches when you have time. Plus if you can get a few friends together, Rocket League makes it easy to find/create fun modes to play.
