Finally finished it and loved every moment of it. I missed quite a bit here and there and would like to play it again, just to see all the many different things that could've happened, depending on my decisions.

Just like the first game, what you do causes a ripple both in a positive and negative way. You save one man, he might become a problem later. You kill another, you then find out he could've helped you later. This game really makes you think about your choices and what should be ethical or acceptable.

Again, just like the first one you get to see what happens to people, depending on what you do.

Edit: Looking back, though I loved the grey morality of this and the previous game, I have to say, here it was a little less grey as the side with the humans were still a raging bunch of racists and people harmed by different Scoitel members where as, this Scoitel group also have some humans in their own group and are acting less like terrorists and more of activists in wanting to spread a positive message. So really, it's difficult to say both sides are as bad as each-other, unlike the first where you had the one side of racist humans who enjoyed killing these people not simply because they broke the laws, but because it's fun and the other-side were so pissed off with being ignored that they were willing to burn down a city with innocent people to get the point across!

However, that doesn't take away from the story, the improved game mechanics and the humour which has all been done very well! Making it so you can use potions and such easier than the first game certainly gives it's own benefit for making the gameplay more fun, along with having a toxicity meter too with multiple ways to get rare ingredients and not always simply killing the creature, regardless of what it may have even done!

There's a lot of fun to be had with this game and they also made it a bit easier to understand with the two swords as the first game had an issues at times where the early books you get would say "Use silver swords" but later ones would be something vague like "It is said that they can be struck down with weapons that are often wielded by the average warrior" and in this, the silver sword is the go-to for all monsters in general. Most obviously lycanthropes, vampires and necrophages.

Being able to carry over data from the previous game, I felt, was a added element that made this game well worth the price and should be of anyone's interest who loves RPGs, especially ARPGs.

Not too sure what to say about this one. with this one they have changed the game entirely since Winter Assult and instead you are on a map. You have to take over territories, each giving a boon of somekind and the game is over when you have driven all other races off the planet.

With this change there are quite a few interesting things to note.

1. Your general is upgradable. By accomplishing certain things you can upgrade your general in various ways which gives him/her boons. For example, one upgrade made it so Taldeer can spot infiltration enemies and another gave her the ability to regenerate faster and those of troops around her.

2. Certain missions are far more than simply (destroy enemy HQ) and involve more difficult tasks like collecting a number of units or destroying certain objectives. All this makes it feel like they actually put thought into it.

3. Invading the Homebase. The homebase battles are absolutely EPIC! Definantly buy this if you have the others.

A great game and very fun. It takes me back as I remember playing Warhammer 40k as a kid since I had no group of friends who enjoyed dungeon mastering. Many of the units are very memorable of that past time and the story of this is one-sided (unlike the expansions) though memorable. It will suck you in though and hours will go by without knowing it.

A dark and yet enjoyable little game where all the problems appear to be based on physics. It's a great problem solving game with quite a dark and foreboding atmosphere. I recommend this to anyone who enjoys platforming.

Hmm what to say about this? Well for starters it's a bit more of the first so if you liked that one you'll fine some pleasure in this. Things went quite well, though what I hate is I can't seem to organise the group in how they move or where they go so sometimes in battles my party either ends up spread everywhere near enemies which can be good or still several miles away which is a pain in the ass.

They added a cooking mechanic which is new, unfortunately you do not cook yourself but get someone else too. navigation is a pain as some characters seem to blend into the background. I never knew Sir Silver was standing by the Princess until late in the game where I had completed most of the quests.

Voice acting is quite hit and miss sometimes saying something quite different to what the text-boxes say and right at the end it seems to be a real miss with the option *End Conversion* turning into -Translation Missing- and everything about the end seemed quite rushed.

This is a truly amazing game. I was expecting your standard point and click adventure game, but this one has really set the bar high on impressive storytelling and unexpected twists.

This is a gem for anyone who loves adventure game and deep stories. In this you start play as a detective who looks for a man who can find him where his brother is, but he never turns up for your meeting and so you go looking for him. This friend also knows the location of your character's brother, who he's trying to find.

You also get to play as one of the prisoners in a rehabilitation centre ominously named, Centre 7. You play as a man named Delta-Six who has his memory erased for the second time because he had attempted to escape. As him you attempt to break out yet again.

Again, I highly recommend it to everyone.

Edit: This was the game that got me interested in the company and all of their games! I've been playing so many for quite a few years and have been loving every release so far!

Beyond that, I love the message behind this one, very much tapping into exactly what make you, you. What is it inside us that makes us want to help the helpless or maybe something like a soul really does exist? The ideas in this game are thought provoking and my love for it is why I have often bought it for friends around the holidays, but only those who like this kind of game ;)

Very fun game, I in fact own 3 copies of this. Laptop where I bought the original, PS3 where I got it on Sale and here where I also got it on sale. An amazingly fun game whilst it lasts and there's always the chance to try and one-up your friends on the endless modes.

Edit: The game has been loved for many obvious reasons. Not only is the tower defence style somewhat unique, but it's also endlessly fun! Coupled with this is the multiple fun little mini-games that are fun and suggest quite a bit of tactics. Then you have the music by Laura Shigihara which made her very well known. Especially as she has done music for other games since and her YouTube channel got really popular too!

Then there's the absurd story along with your crazy neighbour who sells you new plants that you can use to more effectively fight off the zombies and upgrades for things like your garden for growing the little plants as part of a fun mini-game!

I highly recommend this to ANY fan of tower-defence games as it's endlessly enjoyable and you get so much for your money too!

As with all the others done by the same company it's a fun adventure title with a lot of laughs. However the flower puzzle near the end can die in a coal fire for all I care, argh.

It seems to be based on the same UI as the last Runaway game, meaning you get a button to ask for help and a button to see all the hotspots just in case you believe you are missing something, but not sure what. not to mention, the help was far better too.

Love the ending and it's quite a interesting political story to it too. Can't wait to try out their other game, Yesterday.

Edit: The female character (who I forget, editing this review several years after actually playing it) has stuck with me in regards to giving me one of my favourite words, "disconcerting" which was often what others said around where when she'd say strange crap that often confuses/disturbs those that she is talking to. Even herself when travelling through her mind in that one part, but really, that's about most I remember tbh.

A very fun and basic RPG of sorts with many interesting ideas.

Okay, here's the set up. The world is being oppressed by the empire and people who commit crimes get thrown into a one-way portal that leads into a underworld deep beneath the ground. You start with a group of 4 people (of different classes and looks you can change) who were all thrown down here in this hellhole, but you soon learn that this prison thrives with cities and villages, however there are of course many monsters that make like down in Avernum difficult.

You have Goblins, Niphilim (cat people), Ogres, Dragons, Giant Vermin, humans and many, many more threats making life in Avernum hell. I highly recommend this game for anyone who is a fan of RPGs. It's pretty open with you being allowed to hunt down and kill whatever you like in case you want to kill monsters and steal their loot or kill the townsfolk and steal their loot, though you won't get any quests from them.

Not my cup of tea personally, the trailer made it look like some spooky adventure game, however all it really is, is a very well done up island with a man narrating his story. Quite interesting and gets you interested immediately, but there is no action and no threat so I've grown quite bored of it quickly.

Great if you love it, nothing wrong with that just not my cup of tea, is all.
