I highly recommend this game to Frostpunk fans, it is about the only thing since that grabbed me in the same way, maybe because I also love space, but also since there are many high tension moments scattered within. While it is difficult to plan ahead given the resource constraints, I think that is what creates those tense moments too. Be prepared to slap down buildings to solve critical problems on the fly and maybe "make it look pretty" later is my advice, survival is definitely the name of the game here.

I preferred the sequel over this one but it still has great atmosphere, interesting story and some scary moments. Overall Dark Water was just better in the scares, gameplay and story impact department imo which makes sense since they refined what was here. Kinda wished they released this first then it would have been a less disappointing experience, but it's definitely not a bad game by any means and well worth a play, especially if you plan to play the series in chronological order.

The reviews are wrong about this game not containing Aladdin (Sega Version), it does! The confusion comes in when they added DLC for the game, with other Aladdin versions like SNES as DLC as well as The Jungle Book, these are not included.

However I really think this bundle is amazing, it has a "watch mode" for both games where the game plays itself and you can resume play from anywhere in the video which I just love. It also has some great museum features with artwork and production stories which I enjoyed too. If you grew up with these games, it's well worth a visit, especially on sale!

Probably my favourite game of 2024. Loads of characters with very different gameplay styles, pretty world with a number of hidden things to find and mega upgrades to be had for all your characters and weapons. Feels a bit like anime Monster Hunter but the bosses have more predictable phases and are rewarding to master.

Super easy to play and the crazy combinations you can make really feel powerful. Runs feel quite different but it does seem like there isn't a massive amount to unlock, still there are a lot of decks/characters to try which make up for it.

This game is a bit like The Sims 4, you always hope that the gameplay somehow will get better than it is so you keep exploring things, buying DLC and trying new ships but it never really loses that "it's more work than play" feeling. You will be doing the same thing over and over again to get money, and in the back of your mind, you will always wish you were doing something more fun....

That being said, it's still a good time in small bursts and the new ships are very well made which does inject some excitement into the mix. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of doing all manner of weird tasks to get materials to engineer these ships to max levels and wish it was more transparent on what you have to do, or having every mat farmable from every playstyle instead of the wide range of tasks needed. Also please FDev, having to log in and out to farm something is kinda terrible, hope that gets addressed.

So why do I recommend this then? It's still one of the best direct control space sims out there and is getting more and more fleshed out. Everything from on foot to Fleet Carrier scale is here and, while bare bones, still can be interesting and immersive. I have a feeling that in a few years it might even be fun for longer, but that's just a wish. What is here though is still something I delve into from time to time, especially with a long stream on the side to help mitigate the monotony. If you're into that then go ahead, but if not stay away and check back later.

New update with base customisation adds a really nice end game set of goals for you, ontop of a very solid and unique survival experience. It certainly has some painful moments like transferring items in and out of the travois when there is a small obstacle between bases and I also dont find the maps very useful without a player marker, but these are all minor things and not the main gameplay thankfully.

Performance is still not fantastic, but the game certainly is. Story is still there and I found myself in awe of the environments time and time again. Certainly a must play if you have a beefy rig or if they performance has been patched at a later date.

So far its really great! The world is a treat to explore and the unlocks are exciting to discover. Do feel like some small tweaks would be nice like controller axis sensitivity, a combat/mining loadout switch button and Playstation button prompts, but nothing major. Looking forward to playing more!

Amazing remaster in terms of graphic upgrades and full 3D world. Unfortunately the puzzles have changed, and are somewhat easier, but still the essence of what they did was kept. Would love a version with the original content in tact, but I can't really complain since this comes with an amazing VR version too.

Stuttering is present in both versions, but they are working on it and since its slow paced, it doesn't detract too much. Overall it was an amazing nostalgia trip that made me smile many times over, thanks for making it!
