This game was just so over the top from what I expected. What may have begun as a series of somewhat humorous gang warfare stories (Saints Row 2 is also a lot of fun and will be referenced a bit) has evolved in to a ridiculous joyride as you lead your gang through the complete takeover of an enemy dominated city.

This game is the closest I have felt to replicating the crazy scenarios I have experienced playing pen and paper Shadowrun. Do you play as a corporate backed psychopathic killer and media star? Check. Are you are fighting to takedown an enemy syndicate? Check. Do you fight genetically engineered monstrosities, project into cyberspace, and compete for cash and prizes on wacky Japanese televised kill sprees? Check, check, and check. It seems all this game is missing is meta-humans (and some characters could already pass as one) and drones to complete everything I love about Shadowrun.

Really lovin this game series and IV is awesome as well.
