This is a running and live review, enjoy watching the sanity slip away

>100 hours:Absolutely. This game has bones. it has good structure. it’s got plenty to work on but it is still baby. Get in while everyone is still learning. Regardless the gameplay is a lot to learn and once you start understanding the mechanics of the ai you can truly become a master and start running lobbies. Each class has a nice way of having different enough playstyles that you could play for hours with high replay value. Every quarter a year everything wipes and be prepared to die often. 7.5/10

835 hours: With each season, i notice huge improvements in how i play. The quests are a huge grind, the mmr is a huge grind. But by Blythar the Snake God; it’s still damn good. Lots of fun bullying the "Timmies". I think the only downsides are cheating/exploiting is very much abused; also, you really have to start early in the season to have the most fun, if youre late to a season its gonna be a real struggle. Once everything clicks, it’s still super enjoyable and you can look past the bad. Highly recommend 8.5/10

1100 hours: the lack of content makes this game really stale. The terrible drop rates makes this game more of a chore than something I can still enjoy. It sucks because I’ve been trying to convince my friends for the past four wipes to get into the game and now that they are finally just getting into it I’m on the other side traumatized about yeti teeth and cockatrice feathers; shuddering at the fact that 100 developers cannot seem to agree on one thing and keep their players in a purgatory-esque hellscape of racing through the fog of war to mobs just to come up empty because the drop rates is broken. Also constant rubber banding fighting ping abusers. Also pve mode is very lackluster and really only meant for boss practice or min maxing/0 to hero runs into HR

Updated review:6.5/10 After last season, I was really drained from this game. I learned every boss, I completed the high roller rewards, I sunk enough money for the religion skin; there really wasnt much left, it felt like i beat the game. Yet with another wipe, I almost feel like im being drafted to go again in fear of FOMO of skins/emotes/etc. It feels like an obligation and not an enjoyment. I took a break and tried chivalry 2 and was blown away. The combat is not only more advanced, but also SUPER entertaining; which at one point, Dark and Darker was to me. The fact you can complete any campaign at any time to unlock what they made felt very kind to the people that got into the game late. The fact that you could alternate swing or even throw your weapon; it felt so unique. Dark and Darkers basic combat system just felt so elementary and basic after playing chivalry. The fact you could dodge, roll, sprint away was also great. In dark and darker, you really are screwed against faster classes if they know what they are doing. The combat in dark and darker just feels so clunky for a game that is so new. The problem is, its not that Dark and Darker is a thrilling game; its a stressful one. Its really not enjoyable, its only recommended if you have a mental addiction to games where you will be suffering. You will try to delusionally convince or reassess your priorities when youre at your lowest in this game and try to do it again; but theres always going to be something in the way. C'est La Vie. and when you take it that way, in a much more philosophical sense; you realize its still not a negative but I’m on my last leg with iron mace after this new season. Go ahead and watch the streamers; they all hint at the same complaints. Stale mechanics and lackluster new content, constant back and forth at expense of player base, bad quest design, bad servers. Still fun with friends but only if you all enjoy wasting time. Am I still gonna play? Yeah, the risk reward is what makes it enjoyable; the memories and learning curve mastering your classes really is satisfying; just definitely not as much fun as it was. Like I’m not trying to spend a whole day farming a drop to just get another quest with even lower drop rates; it’s lazy game development

1200 Hours: okay, i was upset. But they fixed a lot of the drop rates and im back in it again. But this is the toxic relationship, they constantly play with the players emotions and the drop rates and all of that. regardless, questing is a lot more enjoyable and less grindy. LAST LEG okay?! 7/10
