Fractured Space is a competitive 5v5 arena based space game. Built around battling people and AI with behemoth ships in space, this game shines a ray of uniqueness to the library of MOBAs already out there. If you're looking for super fast paced, mindless shooty-shooty guns blazing type gameplay, then you probably won't enjoy this game. This game relies heavily around coordination and teamplay. It takes tactic and strategy to effectively counter the enemy fleet. Jumping headlong into a group of enemy ships alone will get you nowhere. Learn how to support your teammate(s) and let them support you as you work your way down the two-laned arena to get yourself to the enemy base.

The game gives a pretty large array of ship variety, all of which (except for the starter ships) require ingame currency to unlock, which you can acquire finishing rounds. The developers have done a respectable job keeping all of the ships balanced, as well as making the short grind to get credits as enjoyable as possible. Here, free players won't get stomped by paying players in this F2P game. The devs have given bonuses to buying DLC, but not enough to make anything gamebreakingly lopsided. A free player has just as much chance to win as a paying player, as long as they work as a team with their teammates. There is absolutely no P2W aspect to this game, unfortunately, a very rare thing when it comes to free games in this day and age.

Most ships have unlockable upgrades to your main systems, like missiles, cannons, and other assortments of tools each ship is uniquely equipped with. These "upgrades" aren't direct upgrades, mind you, merely even more options to truly find the ship that perfectly matches your playstyle or specific scenarios. Ship picks are just as important as other teamwork oriented things in rounds. And the more ships you have, the more situations you can fill for the perfect team build.

Control wise this game is pretty straight forward, in my opinion. Main controls include WASD+Ctrl+Space for maneuvering, with LM, RM, and buttons 1-6 to use abilities. I know some people that find that the controls are too complex or too roundabout almost to the point of being gamebreaking. I simply cannot agree. The controls are rather simple to my eyes, and I had no problem getting used to them when I first started playing. I'd say this game has a learning curve to it, but not a very large one. More of an Easy to Learn, Not Really Hard to Master.

Visually this game is a beauty. The graphics alongside the gigantic ship battles makes this one of the prettiest games in my library. The eye candy is truly magnificent. The sheer detail the developers put into the ship models is truly commendable. Optimization wise this game isn't bad, but it could be better. It can be a little laggy at times but you should find that most gaming rigs these days will be able to run this smoothly.

Overall, this game is a solid game that I enjoy playing the only true downside that I can see right now is that it can take a while to find a match, but that's not the game's fault. That's just the results of a small community. But since it's a free game, there's really no reason to at the very least try this game. If it isn't your kind of game, then uninstall. The only thing you want to know is if it's worth the time. And the answer to that question is a solid Yes. I highly recommend this game to anyone that enjoys Sci-Fi, competitive matches oriented around teamplay and coordination.

For me: 9/10 Great game

For MOBA type/Competitive gamers: 9/10 Great Game

For Average Gamer: 8/10 This is a very solid game!
