When I first heard of Stardew Valley, I would never have thought that a game like this would be such a sucess as it is now. I had played Harvest Moon in the past, and even tough I did enjoy the experience, I was quickly bored and had to withdraw from it, a couple of years after I last played Harvest Moon this game gets a Winter discount, so I bought it... and asked myself why I hadn't bought it earlier. I found myself playing this for hours, the beautiful visuals, the different approaches the game gives you, it´s a unique experience that, more than being a fan tribute to all those Japanese farming sims, it packs a little thing for every like to make it the definitive farm simulation that the community needed, and to believe this was a one-man job, it amazes me. You name it, want to customize your farm and house? You can do it. Farm bores you, want a different approach? Try fishing. Want a more action packed experience? Go to the mines and hunt all the monsters. And even after all that, at its core it's still a game that helps you relax after a tiring day of work or study, or to give ourselves a break from the games we usually play. All in all, it's a game I highly recommend, believe me, it's worth the price and hours put into it.
