Wait for a sale, then go nuts.

Among the dozens of rhythm games I've played over the decades I still recommend the core DJMAX series the most because it's just the most fun, plain & simple, and now you can get the best rendition yet right here from Steam. The slick graphics, the wide selection of music, the satisfying charting, it's all top notch. It lacks some of the fancier features you may 'want' be it early/late indicators or a dedicated practice mode, but after diving too deep in the weeds and squinting too hard at the judgement line with other games I'm really glad DJMAX is different 'cause, honestly, I realized I kinda don't need nor want that crap.

Look dude, I do have a terrible neurosis that leads me to these games, but I don't really play them for the meticulous satisfaction of inputting three thousand key strokes at mach speed. I'm really just here because I want to enjoy smashing buttons to the beat of some good music with a cool animated video in the background and that's what DJMAX delivers in spades.
