Team Fortress 2 has come a long way since it was released. When I bought Team Fortress 2 as part of the Orange Box, it had a lot to compete with: By the end of 2007, there were at least 3 other major team-based shooters to choose from, including Call of Duty 4, Unreal Tournament 3, and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars. Three years later, TF2 is the only one of these games still being actively developed, and has a more active player community than ever. In fact, I've never seen another game treated with more care and dedication both by its developers and its player community (except maybe Neverwinter Nights). TF2 is undoubtedly the best PC gaming experience I've ever had. If you've never played it, you owe it to yourself to check it out.
