It's the original game elevated to a brand new level. All the deliciousness of ridiculous, game-breaking combos, but the devs have outdone themselves polishing the formula.

Great online multiplayer

"Security Update" is such garbage phrasing. It removes the ability of players to mod the game to protect themselves from bad actors, while not stopping the bad actors.

It's empty PR, and it's dangerous those playing the game.

If you like OMD 2, you'll like this. Defeat waves of enemies in a 3rd person shooter/tower defense crossover. Excellent online multiplayer.

Classic Fire Emblem-esque with its own flair. Music, voice acting, character portraits, and pixel-art combat are great. I love turn-based strategy RPGs like this.

Funny how Fire Emblem has mostly been a Japanese view of Western medieval fantasy, where this is a Western view of Japanese view of Western medieval fantasy.

As of 6/19/21, I've gotten some minor visual bugs. Developer has already put out three patches, so hoping even those are gone soon.

Edit 3: Developer has put an incredible amount of time, effort, and heart into this game, and it shows. I don't spend hours playing like I used to, but it's still a great game to pop open and do a run on.

Original review

I've heard this called a "roguelite." I'm not sure I agree. It's a slot machine / arcade game. In 90% of outcomes, this game would have been put in a quarter-munching arcade cabinet, in a casino, or a lootbox filled mess of a phone game.

When you can pay $10 once and play forever, it's absolute addiction without financial ruination. Please support this developer and this business model.

Also, pls buff birds. I never take them, and I want a reason to.

Edit #2: The ongoing support for this game is fantastic. Every time I take a break, I come back to new symbols, new items, new synergies, better balance, and a better game. Also, the Discord is pretty good.

I think I got this for like $2. That's like getting your groceries for two weeks for $2 in terms of value.

It's an engaging 2D Minecraft with fleshed-out RPG elements.

Cute, free puzzle game. There's absolutely no reason not to give it a try. It's trimmed down to the absolute meat and bones for an enjoyable experience.
