I've played Portal 2 for 131 hours and I cannot believe I haven't made a review on it yet.

To summarize: If you enjoy puzzles games, get Portal 2 & play Singleplayer. If you have friends, play the Co-op.

IMSCARED is one of the best horror games I have ever played, it may not be the same for you, but for me, it was one of the best.

In IMSCARED, it uses basically the fourth-wall as it's major selling point. Such as writing files onto your desktop which is important to the game, or the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥ a game exit to jumpscare you. Things like that really made IMSCARED stand out for me as a horror game, because you don't really see games use the fourth wall often to jumpscare you, only ever now and then.

If the game wasn't already starting to be somewhat scary enough with using the fourth wall, then you also have the pixelated graphics on the game. While in the 2022 update it did get a higher resolution, it still is mainly pixelated. In games today, they are very high quality and you can see basically everything. While in IMSCARED, the poor, pixelated quality of he game seriously makes the experience just more horrifying. You aren't sure what is around you, you can't tell what is in front of you, and so much more.

Then there is the level design, the audio, and the lighting used, like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. With the last two mechanics that I've stated, "using the fourth wall" and "pixelated design", the game fully becomes into something truly horrifying. With the level design, it can change A LOT, for example, picking up items could trigger an event such as opening a new area, or triggering an unexpected jumpscare. It could be either that, or the map could start changing, such as becoming a mess of flesh, or the map purposely changing from a peaceful setting to a dark setting, etc. And while that alone does't make it too scary, when you include the sounds and the lighting you have been used to, you get paranoid. The sounds in IMSCARED are extremely, lets say, claustrophobic? With the sounds in IMSCARED, it could be a variety of horror ♥♥♥♥, such as the sounds of walking on flesh, the loud sounds of walking on a floor, the quiet map with just you walking in it, while in the darkness, it all makes it slowly more terrifying as it purposely makes you feel paranoid due to how something could just, randomly appear. Then lastly there is the lighting (fog), while it isn't much, it's the last thing the game needs to become truly horrifying. With the completely dark fog/lighting, it makes your view distance extremely small, compared to other games where you can see quite far away. With this low view distance, the game can use it against you, spawning things in front of you, slowly revealing something that wasn't there, and more.

All in all, IMSCARED is by far one of the best horror games I've ever played. My reviews aren't very specific, so you would need to play the game yourself to really feel how it's like to play the game. But seriously, it can get somewhat horrifying with it's dark lighting, maps, pixelated mess, fourth wall ♥♥♥♥, and a lot more. So yeah, I'd buy the game considering how it can get pretty cheap when it's on sale, for example, going as low as $2. It's a bargain for such a good game, sadly it's only around 2 to 3 hours though.

Portal, the game before Portal 2 (obviously) is very, VERY shorter than Portal 2, yet is still pretty fun and sets up the original story that will continue inside of Portal 2.

There are many bugs in Portal 1 that you can do in Portal 2 that could make your experience a bit more fun, faster, and a lot more interesting. Such as shooting Portal's Out-of-Bounds, Prophopping, B-hopping, and a lot more.

Anyways, if you want to have the full Portal experience, I recommend buying both Portal games, specifically when they're on sale.
