This "Remaster" does bring new lighting engine which in the start looks pretty good actually, as well as the remastered textures.
But what hits me is that it looks like they lost interest of making remake halfway as some textures have been left like that.

The game seems to run pretty smoothly with 60fps, but I took a note on heavy lagspikes after I got outside of the Asylum area, still not sure what caused it.

What comes to gameplay it is all the same as the original Dark Souls, with all the massive flaws it had, and this is what aggrovates me here, nothing is fixed and even the graphical side has been done somewhat lazily. The level of quality with this product, if we look at the original Dark Souls game for comparison, is the same as a Work In Progress Mod for the game that someone left behind due the lack of interest.

The multiplayer stills seems to have the hacking as an issue at large like always and nothing seems to be done to fix it in any matter, I myself got cursed, Egghead status, broken gear and possibly a softban after one hit from a hacker and my save file is now ruined.

Also the price tag is way too high for this game at this state making it look like a quick and shameless cash-grab.

So TL;DR:
Just get Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition and install DSfix and several anticheat tools into it and do not give money to this piece of junk.
