One of the coolest games I've ever played but it might not be for everyone. If you love grand strategy games, this is probably the best one. The gameplay is hard to describe. At first glance it might look a bit like Risk combined with Civilization but in reality it is more like Game of Thrones type of intrigue game played in a world map.

Technology isnt that important. Building your counties is mildly important. Leading armies into combat is kinda important. But what is important is the politics behind the scenes. 99% of the time you will be fighting to keep your realm united, try to keep decent relationships with your vassals and scheming to get rid of ambitious vassals or slightly expand your holdings.

Backstabbing, killing your own relatives, betraying allies or just forcing someone to rebel against you just so you can steal their title is the order of the day. No other game can provide the amount of stories that crusader kings can.
