This was one of the first games I bought after getting a GPU capable of ray tracing. Holy smokes I love the reflections, realism, explosions... the visuals are astounding, and the gameplay is pretty darn fun too. The story is definitely unusual, and a blast to play through.

I've only been playing this game for about 4 hours and I'm taking my time soaking in every minute of dialog and every item I can interact with. The game has me smiling, laughing, and having more fun with a game than I have had in a very long time. I'm a huge Guardians on the Galaxy fan and I like that the game can seem serious, sad, happy, jovial, and action packed all within just a single chapter!

I can't wait to see how the rest of the game plays and I genuinely hope for a sequel!

I bought this game on a whim looking for something to play co-op with a friend. We are long distance after graduating college and like to chill and hang out. We wore out every single borderlands game and kind of stalled finding something innovative and new. We caught this game on sale but it is well worth full price. The game runs really well and the co-op gameplay is super smooth. The character classes complement each other and each class has strengths that pair well with certain other characters, and you'll even find yourself really wanting a specific character to be there on certain missions (like using a driller for a liquid morkite mission).

My friend and I play all 4 classes swapping fluidly between them, and what amazes me the most is the ability to queue up a public session and get other random people to join and play with us that are super fun to hang out with. I feel like the DRG community is full of good people and the weekly deep dives are a great example of that. I'm still working on unlocking new weapons in the recent expansion, and I really enjoy playing all the weekly missions.

At this point I've got well over 160 hours played and my buddy has double that. Highly recommend it!

I was amped about this game coming out on nintendo switch, as it seemed locked to a non wide-screen resolution and textures looked off when running it on PC with an RTX 3070. I found out though that there was a steam guide to a SWRC fix which not only resolved the textures but also fixes a lot of crashing issues and enables widescreen support. To my delight installing that was a breeze and the game ran awesome. I capped it at 160fps to match my monitor and it never hiccuped.

Overall I'm glad I held off on trying the poor performing nintendo switch version in favor of this original PC version. Gameplay holds up decently in 2021 and I'm amazed at how many areas were challenging enough to cause full squad wipes which brought back all the memories of playing this game in 2005. The only bad thing about this game is you can expect around 9 hours of gameplay to beat it, and you'll be hungry for more but that is the mark of a good game.

I thought this game was an interesting concept overall and the mechanics worked very well except a few missions that my buddy and I had to stumble through. Those didn't detract from the fun though, they added to it in a way by making it more hilarious. Expect to finish it in 5-6 hours, and possibly get a bit more time in if you want to go back through and swap which decisions you choose along the way to see each story branch play out.

This is a pretty zen game that's relaxing. What really tipped it over the top for me was the fact that my autistic son loves sea creatures and just flat out enjoys watching the view. We beat the game together and replayed a bunch of chapters in just 3 short hours. The music and visuals are superbly done, and if you feel up to doing some google research you can get this to run 5760x1080 across three monitors to make your son really pee his pants when the blue whales swim across your screens.

This is a fun casual game with a lighthearted theme and low barrier to success. The music is pretty neat and I enjoy playing this game when I just want something fun and not serious. The entire game can be beaten in 3-4 hours, so if you binge game you'll have this one beaten in an afternoon

Pros: single player campaign is insanely fun. Graphics are great and weapons/jets are unlocked fairly easily and most missions can be completed by a variety of different aircraft. Game length is fairly decent with a variety of challenging missions and objectives. The stealth missions are awesome as are the all out air-air combat missions. I'm a huge fan of the A-10 and that was a huge reason I purchased this game. There are a decent amount of missions it excels at, but anything with heavy air-air is a no go (to be expected for an A-10)

Cons: online multiplayer is basically dead, and has been since I bought the game brand new. Takes forever to find a match or make one and get enough players. Once you load in you will get toasted quickly as the aircraft tree in online play is separate and you need to win matches to grind enough points to unlock good weapons for multiplayer. Another gripe is I also wish the DLC content was cheaper, I just recently bought the season pass finally which nets you another 3 missions or ~2 hours of playtime. I've never been a fan of buying additional aircraft or skins, I only really care about missions, and the extra missions are very good so far (I've completed 2 of 3 dlc missions)

Super fun game, even in 2019. All I really wanted to do was play single player and re-live the campaign. On Normal difficulty you can expect about 7-8 hours of game time.

Super pumped the game has been re-written in such a way that the cinematic story-telling feels so much more fluid. At times you literally feel like you are playing a movie. I was a bit skeptic of the crafting/resource management, but I'll be damned it works and it doesn't feel like it bogs down the gameplay. I have yet to run out of ammo or arrows, and the skill trees add a unique aspect to the game too. The best part overall is that the death penalty is not set very high, you restart right before you died. It's really nice because you will fall in traps or getting mauled by a bear occasionally and you don't feel entirely punished. So far I've yet to finish the story mode (~32%) and I've played around 10 hours (steam doesn't count offline play time). If you want a game that is both relaxing and fun, I'd say give this one a shot
