I bought this game as a robocop fan and was excited to jump into the action. That was immediately spoiled by the game not running. I updated graphics drivers, enabled maximum google-fu, tweaked every setting suggested online and after about 30 minutes finally got the game running. What I didn't know was I should have just refunded the game right there.

The gameplay itself feels like a very stale late 90's early 2000's shooter. Loot the same looking few things on every level (why is there a stolen wallet on an executives desk in a bank?), endure fetch quests that have you walking around grabbing towels or looking for a cat, and occassionally get to blast bad guys.

Overall I'd say maybe 25-30% of the game involves action, the rest is some pretty boring sidequests and dialogue. Even with the ability to skip through dialogue quickly I found myself wondering why I was wandering the police station getting everyone to sign a card when all I cared about was advancing the plot and getting back to the action. After 5+ hours and getting roughly 1/3 through the story I am retiring robocop and looking elsewhere for fun. I've played long enough that I feel I gave it a thorough shot and I just didn't find myself having fun.

I played this game before watching any of the movies and fell in love with the Mad Max story in the game. It was such a great game and I thoroughly enjoyed the gameplay mechanics, combat, story.. all of it. I primarily played it on my steam deck which was a fantastic experience as well.

After beating the game, I went and watched all the movies in order. I gotta say, the movies were way worse than this game so major props to the developers for really bringing us an in depth world where mad max exists that feels much more fleshed out and whole than all the movies combined together.

So I've played quite a bit between my PC hooked up to my TV and my steam deck (just finished world 3, plus the Halloween area).

Performance on both has been stellar, but I'm just not the right audience for this game. I'm a guy in my mid 30's and the dialogue is more for age 6-10 and some of the puzzles are pretty tedious and boring (like the fireworks display). I've been playing with controller which works ok, I could see mouse and keyboard being more efficient. If the game was more fun I'd consider trying to continue with a mouse but as it stands I've invested enough time to know I'm better off calling it quits.

I should have just tried the demo first, I let my love for LEGO get the better of me when I bought it

This game is absolutely breathtaking. As an avid Harry Potter fan I was amazed at the world they created and even if you are not a fan this game doesn't require insider's knowledge on how the wizarding world works - you'll learn as you play! Flying around the world on a broomstick was truly magical. I alternated playing between my high end desktop and steam deck, and I give kudos to the devs for making it a great experience on both systems!

So I picked this up for a deep discount knowing that it would probably not be a super fun game. I hate to say it but I was right. I played through the story and the entire story arc was not all that interesting and was clearly time-gated by needing to stop and grind my rep up. As I played the story, I never really felt like I had the chance to pick whatever car I wanted because there just wasn't enough money available to switch to a buy a new one AND upgrade without grinding out dozens of needless races.

This left you in a spot where you could either choose to continue with the car you have that is already fast, or swap and have to grind out a bunch of races to get cash. The races them selves felt like chores in that case. I did get the deluxe edition so eventually I got the corvette for free, and then just dumped my cash into that.

What I really wanted to do though was upgrade a car like a firebird and dominate in that. I bought one for $77k and even putting all the upgrades on it, the car rating was nowhere near the recommended to do events.

After the story ends there isn't much to do other than grind your rep to 50 (yuck) or tackle the side missions if you haven't finished them yet. They are essentially 3 categories: track racing, off road racing, and drift. If you have the deluxe edition corvette you can do the track racing no problem until it forces you to wait until lvl 40 rep to continue. You can then swap your suspension and tires and do the drifting which I found not very fun so that was a dead end. The final is off road racing and where I ended the story at with lvl 32 rep the best I could do is buy a off road vehicle for 110k and dump a lot of cash into it so I could even race. Not really worth it.

The graphics are flashy, the car sounds are cool, there are lots of little collectibles and details in the game you can explore and find... but it just all feels like a grind and not something enjoyable to play.

I'm glad I gave it a try. The story was around 10 hours and I do enjoy arcade style racing. Hoping the next in the series does better. I won't buy another NFS again if the reviews aren't stellar though.

First off, my actual playtime on this game is a bit over 2 hours on steam deck in offline mode while traveling.

During my time playing I found that it's a pretty boring platformer with uninspired slash, slash, dodge roll, slash, slash... style of combat and a poor to mediocre story at best. Many other games do it better, and while I will say it ran flawlessly on deck, I put the game down after I finished my travels and I just never picked it back up.

The entire experience was so forgettable I found myself better off sticking this into my junk category of games that will never get played or beaten. There is simply so much gaming content out there it's hard to devote time to something as basic as this game when there is much more fun to be had elsewhere.

3/10

When this game first came out as a playstation exclusive I wrote it off entirely since it wasn't accessible to me as I didn't own a playstation. When it came to steam I knew I'd eventually get around to playing it and I really wish I hadn't delayed. The gameplay is fantastic and the story is superbly told. The writing and directing is top notch. The characters in the game that are allies joined me in a way that I genuinely cared for them while the antagonists were written in such a way that I truly despised them. The implementation of the skill trees really evolved the gameplay, and while it took me a bit at first to get used to the crafting/upgrading menus they eventually became second nature. If you're in the mood for a game with a story, and have the time to listen and absorb each cut scene and conversation then you'll be impressed with the depth of this game!

Super fun nonogram game, I'm new to the genre so I've enjoyed the simple ones and ramping up to the 15x15 puzzles. I've been playing this both on my PC and my steam deck. The only downside is that there is no cloud sync feature, so you're left to manually find the save files on windows vs linux and transfer them back and forth. I figured it out after a bit of googling but it's not straight forward at all. Due to this I've decided to just play it on my steam deck and it's a great experience in short bursts like on lunch break. I can't wait to finish all the puzzle it has to offer and try out the puzzle generator feature.

Watching the gameplay trailer for Elechead had me really excited. However it wasn't the puzzle game I thought it was. Instead it's a very short game that starts off feeling linear but you quickly lose sight of the end goal. There is very little info on what to do, and the player is left trying to wander around finding 20 chips without any real direction. The menus in the game are made up of only symbols and it's difficult to tell what you are navigating without trial and error. To beat the game requires you to wander aimlessly looking for hidden passages, walls that are not really walls, and floors that you can fall through to get to other areas. I did manage to complete the game due mostly to my hard headedness and determination to get my $8 worth of enjoyment but it required finding a map posted online and watching a few bits of a youtube guide.

If the game had a map, some direction, and more of the puzzles to solve it would be wonderful. As it stands now it just isn't what I thought I was buying and I wouldn't consider it a game worth your time.

Super fun game especially if you are looking for something that has a lot to do but doesn't take itself overly serious. You don't need to worry about remembering where you are in the story, or what each faction does and how loyal they are. Just load in and blow stuff up. The story is pretty hilarious and there is no need to participate in any of the collectathon stuff so you can beat the game without getting bored of repetitive tasks.
