On the beginning of the "N64 nostalgia" indie games like Yooka Laylee, Super Lucky Tale and Poi, the one that realy shines above all (with miles ahead) is A Hat in Time.
Obviously inspirated on N64 games but aware of the limitations of the games from that era, it manages to deal with them by correcting the camera controls and with charisma overload.
This feels the closest game to Super Mario 64 to date not only by the platform standarts but also is a roller coaster of emotions, with funny, sad, terrifying and always joyful experiences!

This game is not only like Megaman Battle Network but also surpasses it in almost every aspect of gameplay.
There are a lot of characters and playstyles to go on this game and a lot of variables that can be configured in the run of the game. Huge replay value. Even greater if you consider the mods avaible.
The only downside is that the characters designs of this game are too AWESOME that make me want to see more of the plot and the lore.
Certainly one of the most underlooked indie game of 2020.
