Honestly, things have improved a lot. Added features, somewhat regular updates...are they always perfect? No. Do they always work? No. Are things better than right before/after EAC? Absolutely.

All in all, VRChat is the best social VR game out there for the foreseeable future. I hope they continue to update the platform, ensure safety for players & add fun & useful tools/features. With nearly 3600 hours played over the course of a few years I think that speaks volumes.

The game is supported by VRC+ subs yet the developers drag their feet on QoL and accessibility improvements users have been begging for year over year.

Then they announce they're releasing an update that will ban mods users created to enable the same QoL improvements people have been needing/wanting. How does that make any sense at all?

VRC Playbook:
1. Build huge userbase of loyal regular users
2. Charge for VRC+, which genuinely offers barely any useful features (but promise more, eventually??? Someday???)
3. Continue to ignore player base & requests for QoL improvements & improvements that would allow players with disabilities/accessibility issues to enjoy the game fully.
4. Burn it all to the ground by banning user created mods to make the game more playable, when this all could/should have been done in-house years ago. Not to mention the implementation of EAC is going to make the game worse, it stinks & won't solve the "problems" VRC devs are hiding behind trying to solve.
5. Alienate & betray a massive percentage of your users & even paid users, nuking the userbase you grew.
6. Profit???

I'm a new-ish user...and enjoyed the game so much I decided to subscribe & support the devs, because honestly I just was hopeful that the money I spent was going towards a better future for the platform. Feel completely betrayed & bewildered by this tone-deaf decision to make VRC objectively worse without solving any problems.

It's not too late to fix this...put out a statement that your previous plans to use EAC was a bit short sighted...and outline a plan to actually address the issues you're trying to solve while also addressing the issues caused by your lack of development on QoL updates/improvements. This ain't it! I can't in good faith recommend this game when everything I've seen & heard shows that you couldn't care less about the people who made this game/platform popular in the first place. Actions speak louder than words & you've just shouted your intentions loud & clear.
