How is it as a Survivor type of game? well, the enemies are a bit overwhelming and come at you really fast from the get go, the levels are also just open arenas with no real environment, the upgrades are nice and varied however.

How is it as a bullet hell? the stages dont have much actual bullet dodging, the boss patterns are quite nice, but decidedly simple, limited and somewhat easy to learn compared to the juggernauts of the industry like touhou or cave shmups.

Doesn't really matter tho, its still my favorite game in both genres now, the entire package comes together in a way that is extremely impactful and touching, and a must play if you enjoy those kinds of game, even more so if you're into rpg maker games as well, it just scratches that unique itch that you didnt know you had.
