Great little idle farm sim. Great pace progression and the art style is great.

TL;DR (All personal opinion)
Story: 8/10
Combat/Mechanics: 6/10
Graphics/Style of art: 9/10
Controls: 7/10
Sound/music: 10/10

If you made it past the TL;DR congratulations, here is my personal opinion in detail

Story:
The story itself is mostly in one piece, however there are some parts that personally left me confused. Those confusions didn't really clear up until I have progressed a bit more into the story. Personally, the story seems a little to segmented for it to be fluid, but regardless the main story goal is clear from the beginning.

Combat/Mechanics:
I was kind of disappointed with the combat system. It was bland and cliche type of dungeon crawler type with different enemies with different pattern of attack. The levels and the difficulty of enemies were too erratic. Some levels were so easy that I could run through without losing a single heart, or it was so difficult that it took me several tries to even get past the first enemy. However, what saved me from most of the difficult situations is the god-like cooking system. Personally, this little mechanic in the game where you can spend your precious currency to buy ingredients to cook and buff yourself up for battles and encounters were a god send. It adds so much more purpose in trying to gather ingredients and make new foods that buff you in different ways.

Graphics:
Personally, I am a big sucker for these kind of retro rpg graphics. Even though it looks simple from afar, but as you play the game you notice details that the developers put in to make sure that it's not a simple old style graphics.

Control:
I played on a controller so I can't really say for those who will play on keyboard and mouse. The controller controls were a little wonky at first, but relatively easy to get used to. One problem I had is that when switching weapons, there is the way to switch with the D-pad and the lower joystick. If you have drift on that specific joystick, it changes weapons constantly which caused me to die few times.

-EDITED- HOW CAN I FORGET SOUND

Sound/music:
Original, unique and fits in like a puzzle to situations accordingly. Every battle, every cut scene and the background music when you are running around are all exceptional. Powerful, sad, happy and countless ways to express situations have a music attached to them. It is safe to say that this game's one out of the two pillars is music and sound. Kudos to the sound and music team!

Overall, it is such a beautifully made game. You will fall in love with characters pretty easily and come to care for them. It is definitely worth the price. BUY IT

Don't let the old news refrain you from buying.

I've watched this game get to the top of the hype train tracks and fall down in an ugly spiral, hence why I did not buy this game on release. However I didn't stop keeping tabs on the game, and seeing multiple DLC sized updates put out for free, I decided to get the game when it was half off. I put in 100 hours in 3 weeks time as I couldn't put it down. I disappeared off my friends social radar and dove into the game. The story is kind of confusing and scattered throughout, so I did the exploring part and grinding before doing any story. Story isn't bad, but it felt out of place in my gameplay as I was doing what all grinders love to do. Get S class of everything.

After 100 hours, this game is nothing like when it was released. Although it took a while to correct its course but what game out there doesn't go through a phase where is absolute trash. I definitely think it was worth the price I got it for, but if 60 dollars is too much, then wait for it to go on sale.

I've followed this since it was on Kickstarter. The original voice actor lines and the decent animation on Holo makes it worth buying.

From my prospective, being a die hard fan of Spice and Wolf really does it for me.
But it is a very limited VR experience. There is maybe 2 hours of experience and it most likely get boring afterwards.

Here is my take on this game. I know this review really won't help due to Metro Exodus moving to the Epic store, but if you are considering buying the game, hope this helps.

As of 16th of February 2019, I beat the game on hardcore

On gameplay alone this game is something special. Different from the previous two Metro games, this sequel has an open world aspect to it. The combat is still relatively the same, but there are several new addition.
I've also played the previous two titles and absolutely loved it and this title also did not disappoint me.

Storywise, this game is one of the most story intensive game I've ever played. To give an example, for me to go through the entire crew of the Order dialogue, it took me around thirty minutes for the dialogue to stop. I strongly recommend this game to those who love story immersive games, where you completely lose yourself in the game.

System support wise, it is not a spec intensive game as I can run this game on my i7, GTX 970m laptop without any problems frame-wise. However, for those who played the previous Metro games, it has terrible support for resolution options and graphic options. Everytime I would alt-tab, the game would crash and brick my computer. I had to restart the computer everytime.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this game to any story immersive RPG lovers out there.

Gameplay - 7/10
Story - 10/10
System support / options / settings - 5/10

A really interesting way to look at a space RTS. A lot of ways to approach other species and a lot of diversities of species to choose to start with. I highly recommend it to veteren RTS / Tatics players. People who are new to this genre of game will probably be really confused to begin with, but the tutorial is semi-helpful. Beautiful graphics and sountracks.

DEFINITLY BUY THE NOVA EDITION FOR DEM ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK

So many ways to kill, so many ways to interact, and finally, so many ways to die. Plus with this new FREE expansion, FTL is one of my favorite indie game. Plus it has that sci-fi and action to back up the limitless possibilites to play this game, and so far it has yet to dissapoint in any way. I suggest anyone who has not tried this game to buy this game with utmost enthusiasm.
