It pains me to not recommend this game, cause it has some good attributes, but I think in most categories the game is just inferior to original Subnautica. The map is smaller and more claustrophobic, but gives its own fear for sure, but I think for an open world game like this it just doesn't work. Replacing the Seamoth and Cyclops for the Seatruck was interesting at first, and I think the concept of a pseudo Seamoth that becomes a Cyclops is cool, but in practice it just doesn't work for me. I loved the customization that the Cyclops had, allowing you to make your own portable base, and I think the Seatruck is just a straight downgrade to it. I also found the story lacking compared to the original, and without going into too many spoilers, certain characters and plot points in BZ kinda ruined some of the story for me in the original game. I don't have any gripes with Robin as a character, since she isn't talking 100% of the time and commenting on everything. Once you get past the initial lines from her when you first discover things, you really only get voice lines when you progress through the story.

I do think one place where BZ isn't a downgrade is the habitat building, and its only because its basically the same, except for the control room where you can customize your habitat which is cool and I think that was a good idea. But other than that its just hard to find a place where BZ is better than the original, and that's just disappointing to me.

Going into this game, I was a bit nervous to see if I actually enjoy it. For like the first 5 hours or so I never even built my habitat, just kept relying on my lifepod and some really small storage units, and at that point I was getting kind of bored. But once I discovered how much fun and exploration there was in the game, building out your habitat and making vehicles, I could see why this game is as renowned as it is.

this was a very good game ot plau while drunk and high and soiber it was avyer good investment of mind and i serverely ejoyed it

definitely more difficult, and the big encounters took me a couple tries but overall really fun and heart racing. people who are saying that its too difficult are just bad lol

Been playing on Ultra-Violence and the game is very fun. Not so difficult that I would want to kms but challenging enough to force you to come up with strategies for each encounter. Really good game overall
