If you are a fan of turn based games such as Civ or Age of Wonder but feel that matches can run for too long, this is the ideal game for you. Capturing new planets and fight it out in grid based combat as you try to come out on top.

Addictive, fun and just the right pacing makes this game really shine.

At one point in the game, you can use your ghost like abilities to take over a cat.

Press Y to meow.

10/10 GOTY, under-rated gem of a game.

Got this on sale. Found that people were still having matches in multiplayer mode.

Early Access Review
In short, this game is the love child of X-Com Enemy Unknown and Dark Souls.

The tactical feel and team management of X-Com.

The dark fantasy and brutal unforgiving nature of Dark Souls.

If you're a fan of RPGs or even simulation games, this is a must have.

This should be considered the trademark for spiritual sequels or remakes in general. Everything that you enjoyed about the original series has been brought back with a shiny new gloss of paint. I missed out on playing the original but having finally played both, the carry of the torch for this game can be clearly seen.

Those cutscene shots though, a bit rough.

Another great game from Tell Tale that manages to make it's own mark on an established story telling method that Tell Tale has cultivated. There's a real sense of mystery to the game and the choices made here feel that they have more weight to them than compared to The Walking Dead. In similar cases however, there are strict choices that have to be made and sometimes, interactions that promise a possible lead in to a new interaction seem to fizzle out.

Incredibly short and heavily borrowed material such environments to even gameplay itself, all of it from Slender. It`s a prime example of what the future of games shouldn`t be - a cheap cash in on trendy game tropes,

To this date, there is a tiny number of games that completely invoke their source material. Aside from being the most accurate representation of being a part of a lengthful episode of South Park, there's a deep sense of game mechanics going on in the background.

The combat system for example relies on the standard turn based method (which Cartman mocks in a 4th wall breaking way) but with an element of skill, timing your attacks carefully and responding to your enemies' fighting stances.

Being a fan of RPGs and a casual viewer of South Park itself, this game delivers a solid hit for fans of both respective interests and if you're merely a fan of one, it might actually convert you to enjoying both as well.

Looking for a good old fashion retro dungeon crawler? Look no further than Grimrock, it's a love letter to the old school RPG games of the yesterdays.
