The mind of Senua is a dark and dangerous place where not everyone dares to venture. The war she has with the outside world and inside of her are combined into this masterpiece. Her abnormal condition is what makes the game so captivating, once you play the game you can’t get it out of your head.

Playing with the condition of Senua in a time in which we know very little about is a true beauty. Psychosis isn’t a visual condition that can be expressed very easily but Ninja Theory made this possible. We travel into the darkest parts of Senuas mind where we learn how she deals with her condition and the effects they have on her.

The creators of the game went over and beyond to create such an emotionally maddening game. The research and factors they came up with is what makes Hellblade surreal. They were able to connect so many lost points to each other in just 8-10 hours of gameplay.

Ive read a few books on Norse mythology and know most of the Odinsons stories and achievements, this helped me understand where i was in the game mostly. The belief Senua has for her Gods, and everything that has happened to her her family brutally murdered, her exile have triggered her mind into believing many superstitions which is probably why her psychosis increases within time.

"Mental illness has been with us as long as we have been on this earth, but why? Why hasn't evolution stamped out this weakness from within our gene pool? I often pondered this question until I realized that the question had an in-built flaw. It assumes that being and thinking differently is a weakness. The only reason we have computers, spacecraft, medicine, poetry, art and yes even video-games, is because individuals were able to simulate new abstract realities in their mind and share them with the rest of us. We need people to be willing to see differently in order for us to progress as a society. And we need to be open to these new ways of seeing. And it is this spirit that motivated me to create Senua's story and share it with you."

A few hours in the game and you’ll eventually start thinking and feeling a little like Senua, you begin empathizing with her in ways you didn’t think were possible.

Overall, I honestly think it’s a AAA masterpiece—amazing graphics, incredible sound, and level design that’s both beautiful and haunting. I’m beyond excited for the sequel, especially with next-gen Xbox graphics and power behind it. The way Hellblade blends Norse mythology with such raw, honest portrayals of mental health makes it really stand out as a rare, special gem. It’s inspired me so much—honestly, it’s even made me want to study psychology more seriously, so I can better understand and maybe help people like Senua someday. That’s how deeply this game moved me.

version 2 was good but not as much as version 1. graphics are so good.i wish version 2 had more psychology and more schizophrenia atmosphere.

i wish u enjoy that.have nice day.

What I adore most is how Hellblade combines storytelling, deep psychology, and phenomenology with such care. It shows symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and her fluctuating insight—real traits of psychological conditions like schizophrenia—so realistically. And the developers worked with psychologists and even people dealing with these experiences, which totally gives the game authenticity and respectfulness. It’s not just about making a cool game; it’s about truly understanding and representing her inner world. That’s what makes it feel so genuine and impactful.

The voices aren’t just spooky background noise—they actually help you understand what she’s going through. Sometimes they give hints, but other times they’re trying to confuse or fill her with doubt. This really made me feel her internal struggle on a whole new level. Using binaural audio—listening through headphones—you almost feel like those voices are inside your own head. It’s so powerful and emotional, but it never feels exploitative or cheap.

The puzzles are smart and well-placed, which made the whole journey feel so personal and meaningful. And honestly, the combat — it looks simple, just timing-based, but it’s super satisfying and surprisingly tense. It’s not too complicated, so I never got overwhelmed, but it still keeps you on your toes. The pacing between fighting, puzzles, and her emotional story is just right, making the game flow perfectly.

What really blew me away, though, is how deeply they portrayed Senua’s psychosis. As someone fascinated by psychology, I was genuinely impressed. The game captures her auditory and visual hallucinations so realistically—like, it’s grounded in real neuroscience.

Marvellous .It's jaw breaking. i like your thoughts.do this more .u got the talent .

here is my opnion about Hellblade if u interset (long version) hellblade is honestly one of the most incredible and immersive games I’ve ever played, and I just fell absolutely in love with it. It takes gaming way beyond just entertainment—it's like stepping into a piece of art that you actually feel a part of. The story is so intense and gripping, and the environments are dark, atmospheric, and beautifully crafted—perfect for really pulling you into Senua’s world. The sound design is nothing short of breathtaking; when you listen with good headphones, it honestly feels like the voices are right in your head. It’s such an intense, emotional experience.
