A true original. The pixel remasters are really great as remasters go. You can modify random encounter rate, swap between original bit-rate music or full symphonic scores.

Addicting roguelike gameplay with a transcendant narrative that is a credit to video games as a whole. This game wormed its way inside my head and literally made it hard to fall asleep at night. Do with that information what you will.

It's fun, has a lot of my favorite characters, is easy to learn and hard to master. The art and music are great, to be fair. The game used to be F2P viable but I would no longer say that's the case. I've been a strong supporter of this game. I've bought every season pass and a LOT of bundles. For reference my collection level is just about 27k. The devs do not see us as customers or gamers but simply wallets from which they want to extract everything they are able. It's insulting how little this game gives for how much it asks. To say the pricing feels out of touch is an understatement. I've tried asking the devs questions on their discord and the moderators there will arbitrarily delete posts or move them as they see fit to categories like "feedback" where you won't get a response. This "Deadpool's diner" mode is such an obnoxious cash grab that I'm re-evaluating my relationship to mobile games as a whole. And make no mistake -- despite being available on Steam, this is most definitely a mobile game.The mode is almost single-handedly the reason I'm angry about and likely to leave this game. The manipulation just feels sleazy and makes me feel used. It feels almost impossible to earn cards in this mode and the game makes me feel worse more often than it makes me feel better.

If you can afford to play this game and you haven't yet, you're in the wrong.

I had a hard time putting this down once I started. The writing is great and the soundtrack is damn near flawless. I had high hopes and Bellular didn't disappoint. Kudos to the team!
