There are no RTS style controls in game. They try to fake it a bit, but they do not have true RTS input. Many abilities will not trigger correctly, and auto attacks sometimes occur instead of basic movement.

If they add a simple double click to move, and unbind movement from the mouse button engine-side, it would be a huge improvement. Unfortunately, the game is coded directly like this. No matter what, you have to use left click to move your player. It is hard bound and potentially makes any movement glitch out to the attack that is bound to it.

I you are using mouse and keyboard, and have high APM, this game is not for you.

Most people are all about 1 button spam builds. The culture was a little surprising. They don't even know what an RTS is.

I like the game, but mouse and keyboard controls not operating correctly make it not fun. I'm not interested in changing my class because the input does not work. I don't want to feel obligated to play the game because I bought it and then have to change my playstyle because the game glitches out when you start playing with 8 abilities instead of 1.

I am part of the creator program.

I got muted in-game for using the competitive campaign slogan of "Go North".

not so much a sandbox -- more of a sandinbox.

This is the best Arena FPS in a long time. If you like skins, break out the AMEX. Move over Lost Ark. This game easily has the best skins, ever.

It's similar to Overwatch/TF2 in that it's objective based and your KDR does not matter that much, it's all about the cash-out. It's a lot of fun once you figure out the format, but it takes a little getting used to since it's kind of a new idea. The environmental effects and collision effects are unmatched. It is nice to run around the map with low gravity, jump off a crumbling building, and be able to shoot a bullet and it land where the cross-hair was aiming. That's unique and what makes FPS fun, in my opinion. However, because I like the game so much, I will focus my review mostly on why I hate the game, true to my sweaty gamer nature.

Biggest problem: Hackers. That and the game is not optimized for potato machines.

The hacking is really bad in this game. There needs to be Vanguard style Anti-Cheat implemented. There is no point in making an FPS anymore without it. Vanguard isn't a complete solution either. The report system is always going to be necessary. At the moment, the most prevalent cheats seem to be auto-movement and auto-doge cheats. Since killing doesn't really matter and staying alive does, the moment you look at people with ADS, their reticle ray detection cheats kick in and they start darting all over the map. Report this.

Also, this game focuses on Ray Tracing like it's important in an FPS. This is pretty stupid, but I'm sure Embark (the developers) are getting a pretty penny from NVIDIA to pump RT in their game. Because of this, I'm all for it, but it is stupid and useless, nonetheless.

I'm fairly addicted at this point. I hope to see you guys in game. It's worth it.

The game has very high replay-ability. It's missing some stuff and there are a few bugs since the game was just released. If you like Moonshine, I reckon you want to be playing this here game and don't be makin' me tell you twice about that again, Dale.

This is not an MMO. The most you can have on a single instance is 30 people. Under that Criteria, Fortnite is 2x the MMO this will ever be. The PvP arena is highly unoptimized. Simple things like being outbid on market transactions will freeze the game during battle as well as during dungeons. Group content is a rarity.

There is no rush if you are a PC player with keyboard and Mouse. Aside from Halo banning you every 15 minutes because their servers disconnect, using a controller is basically an aimbot with the in-game aim assist. The game is not ready for a competitive environment, but perhaps in a few months.

I wanted to write more about why you should play, but I'm too busy playing Albion to type that much.

This is one of the most consistent game I am playing currently, and the only aim-trainer I've ever found useful. Because of this, over the passed few months, I have noticed a drastic increase in my ability to aim with precision. I use this trainer mostly for warming up before I play Overwatch. I will play 1-2 hours before I head into Competitive mode. I was able to move up from Gold to Platinum within the last month.

The nice thing about this game is that it has a 1:1 aim adjustment system for multiple games. You can import your settings from each game for an similar aim experience. If I have a certain aim setting for Overwatch, and I want to translate that setting to Apex Legends, there are in-game tools to help with that.

You can also add your own models and cross-hairs to the game. Personally, I prefer the default settings but there are a lot of in game textures to spice up your training levels as well. I like the basic nature of the maps as it seems to help me isolate certain aspects of my aim that I want to work on.

Weapon profiles from multiple games are available and will become more so available in the future. Aside from the presets available, you can also add your own custom weapon profiles, bot behaviors, character movement attributes, and map settings. From what I understand, there are plans to add the ability to share your customizations within the Community Workshop in the near future.

The developer is very active within the community. There are updates in the Community Discord for whats being added currently and expected in the future. The game is still somewhat in it's infancy, but it does the job as far as help with my aim and has so much potential for future updates. It's worth every cent.

This game is very expensive for the content. It is also not very difficult to play. The AI isnt very challengeing, even in Deity Mode.

I've never played any of the Civilization series before this installment. I was suprised when I was able to beat the first match i had ever played with very minimal knowledge of the game and mechanics. I played Starcraft a bunch, but never a turn based RTS. Building a bunch of settlements in the begining, steady war dec'ing, and maintaining a lot of trade seems to be an easy victory in any mode. There are many mechanics in the game, but it doesnt seem like they are balanced with warfare. It is definitely beneficial to be a tyrant.

I think the game is fun and will have a lot of replayability for an specific audience, somewhate like myself, where i enjoy spending 4-8 hours of free time on developing and building cities. I was hoping that this could replace the Sim City hole in my heart.

If you are looking for a great multiplayer expereince, I DO NOT suggest this game. It is very difficult to maintain a game with another player. there is no matchmaking or 1-2 hour game modes that you can play on a competitive level.

that being said, this game is not valued properly. this $60 BS has to go. This is half of a video game without a good multiplayer, and it really doesnt vary much from the previous versions (from what i understand). There is really no incentive to buy this game with Steam when you cant really play with people. The best DRM is a good multiplayer.

Do not get me wrong, this game looks beautiful and is immersive, but it does not compare to many of the free-to-play games in the sense of its mass appeal and playability. This game is better played alone, and i'm not sure if there as place for that type of product (at least at that price) in the future of gaming.

I partially wish that Steam's return window was longer. I'm not sure if i would have played this game as much as i did if i didnt feel like i had to get my money's worth. One game take's like 20 hours. After the first one, I wasnt very impresed with the game. I tried it on the most difficult mode to see if i could get more enjoyment, and came to the conclusions i expressed at the begining of this review.

If you are a die hard fan, maybe this is for you? I like the gameplay a lot- i just feel greatly take n advantage of with thge price. The only time i will really be playing this is when my interent access is down.
