Early Access Review
For a game that is early access, inZOI has a lot of promise.

PROS
The ability to customize nearly every aspect of clothing, furniture, and facial/body features is amazing. This allows for such creative freedom to really design something completely your own. I haven't tinkered with the emote creation feature, but I've seen others do it, and it's pretty cool to see how you can create an emote from a real life pose. Also, being able to walk your Zoi around with the WASD keys makes you feel more in control of your character as opposed to point and click (which is still available). Also, the ability to oversee the souls, scold them for terrible karma, and see the world fill up with ghosts is a pretty interesting feature. The price point is also nice, given many games are retailing for over $60 these days. I like that Zois have values, traits, and life aspirations, and I like how they are set up, as well as how they influence Zois' behavior.

CONS
Sure, the worlds feel a little empty, and it's not without some technical issues. However, given other reviews here, people need to remember that this is an EARLY ACCESS game. It is not at 100%. In fact, I saw in the build mode some grayed out areas where building pools will be, so there is obvious intent there to add more as you go along. The fact that the game is in early access is widely known, so if unfinished games aren't your thing, wait for the game to leave early access.

Overall, a game like this still feels pretty strong for an early access game, and it has a lot of promise. The devs are communicative and transparent, the price point is nice, and the customization is fantastic. It's a new life simulation game in a genre that has sorely needed more competitors. I look forward to seeing how this game grows through updates over time.
