Soms komt het voor dat iemand doet alsof hij je beste vriend is, om je daarna een gemene streek te leveren. In het Engels wordt hiervoor de term "backstabber" gebruikt, wij noemen iemand achterbaks, maar het komt erop neer dat je (zogenaamde) vriend je verraadt, leugens over je rondbazuint of roddels verspreidt die jou kunnen schaden.

Sometimes it happens that someone pretends to be your best friend, only to play a mean trick on you. In English the term "backstabber" is used for this. We call someone backstabber, but it means that your (so-called) friend betrays you, spreads lies about you or spreads gossip that can harm you :hoffman_grumpy:

Jaloersheid is dat 'knagende gevoel' dat niet alleen in het huwelijk zoveel verwoest, maar ook in het gewone dagelijks verkeer van mensen alle vreugde en elke vriendschap bederft.
