this is pretty much how they train the builders of those pop up holiday stores to efficiently erect an entire halloween store in only the time it took you to turn and sneeze

All joking aside, this is a fantastic and refreshing branch of city sim/ management that I've seen in a long time. Its actually kind of difficult describing whats great about the game because it most of what the others do but also slightly askew from the same direction. There is a tech tree of sorts, but you only see it in between the time since you last built a town and the time when you will be preparing your new one. There is replayability because everything is mostly randomly generated but the goal of each start is exactly the same, and you're never really restarting in the same way those idle clicker games never stop playing even when you restart.

Difficulty is adjustable, there aren't aggravating iterations of AI breathing down your neck for tokens the developers managed to program them to care about but never bothered to make actually important, and its surprisingly extremely pleasant to look at and listen to. As much as I love really bombastic and beautiful music of many 4x/grand strat/city sim games, I often am quick to turn it off to watch tv in the background. I turned off the music in this game only to realize there are VERY seamlessly placed audio cues everywhere and its both attention grabbing AND unobtrusive.

Overall, if you've enjoyed management games, city planning games, 4x/grand strat titles and the like, then I can guess you'll enjoy your time with this one too. But I can only guarantee that opinion for the time listed above. I'm not really a "9000 hours into a stellaris campaign" kind of player, and this suits me great.
